Talk of another club chasing Whitescross other than Brisbane.
Who is the mystery club?

What's the latest on Jed?
Choice out of three clubs mate.
Pies
Cats
Kangas

These clubs are so paranoid at been left behind by the Hawks that they're going for glory!

1st Hill now Breust, Gee you get sensitive, I know you would suggest to discuss this stuff in the hypotheticals can you also give us a list of players that are not on your list of need a big warm hug?
You'll have to excuse me if I and others don't want to read pages of "I would trade Breust"
"well, I wouldn't"
"Well, I would"
"Well I think you're crazy"

If you have a problem with moderation then PM me, but the Breust/Hill discussion doesn't belong here.

I'm hoping there is a plan in place to upgrade our multitude of second round picks (will have 3 if Jed's asking price is met) to NAB another pick in the first round.

Targeting Syd (14), GWS (8) or Brisbane's (17) first round picks given they don't really care about the number of their pick as they will match offers for players from their academy regardless. Provided the arithmetic around points are in their favour, hopefully will move the Hawks up the order.

I just don't see anyone giving away a pick in the top 25, which is what will be required.

Thank you for the feedback, I obviously get all the AFL games on Live Stream over the net, but I have zero clue as to the ability of TOB because he is never in the first 22.

My younger half-brother is 'Vito Corleone' to two boys whose Dad is shall we say well place within the club. He said the club still rate O'Brien very highly (although patience is starting to wane).

He said Adelaide were really upset at losing him in the draft as they had tracked him from an early age, so this was the basis of my inquiry.

Is he really that underwhelming?

On paper he seems the prototypical 3rd forward.

194 cm, can mark, can run and is quick/agile for his size.

Is it aggression for the contest the problem?
Is it an appetite for hard work?
Is it he is timid and maybe has a lack of self belief?

In essence, the question I'm asking to you and the board, is can he make it, or is he our Jack Watts, great in the underage competition but not built for the main game?

If there is unrealised ability and potential, could this be realistic?

Anderson and O'Brien + 18 + 38 out to Adelaide

13 + 28 into Hawthorn.

Adelaide win big time with only a slight downgrade for Anderson (13 - 18); and
Hawthorn come out slightly ahead on the O'Brien part of the deal (38 - 28) in a supposedly weak draft after the first 30.

Thoughts?

Sometimes your club isn't run as well as its supporters want it to be though. Hopefully that turns around next year onwards
Yeah I know what you mean.
To me that's a pretty good deal, even for the players.
Carlisle gets to be a dominant CHB in an all conquering Hawthorn side.
And Jed Anderson gets regular games in a weaker Essendon side.

Not my work but like it ......

Hawks huge winners. Id take that without 31 being thrown in. If Wright could do it he is truly a genius

TO has all the tools to make it big. He just cannot find the footy. On his output you'd delist him, on his potential you'd rate him as a top ten draft pick. Boom or bust next year.

He lacks the aggression that his red hair would indicate should come naturally. If he can gain a bit more hunger and aggression for the ball rather than hoping it will come to him - he will improve drastically. Hopefully the lack of Grimley at BH will put more onus on him to be our key forward and he will relish the extra pressure and responsibility.

I'm not sure Carlton would be happy with that, they are basically trading Yarran for Anderson. Richmond are probably overpaying as well. Given most would probably argue Jed is only worth pick 31 alone, to get a 6 pick upgrade in the first round as well is massive overs for him.

I like this. The guy is no Dean Cox, but he's certainly shown enough to be a very solid backup. If he can go forward as well, it makes him a good replacement for Ceglar (who in turn is replacing Hale).

EDIT: The only downside is he has terrible facial hair, so hopefully the boys can fix that shit for him
