Still not sure how I feel about letting go of Anderson. The kid will be an absolute jet. He has the highest ceiling of any youngster on our list.

But Carlisle in, means out spine is set for 5 years.

Torn.

It makes me rest easier knowing that if our system couldn't get him motivated enough to reach his potential then it will take a hell of a lot from most other clubs.

Boys and girls if we pull this off this is huge.

Hawthorn haven't been in the position for years to draft quality KPP's. They are the hardest to find. With Frawley and Carlisle we are set for a longtime in regards to KPD's.

Midfielders are easier to grab. You need your spine healthy before you can achieve anything and the Hawks are going about this perfectly given the position we are in!

Wrighty and Clarko just get it done!

Hopefully this goes through!

definitely a good deal if we can make it happen....

still not sure about Carlisle's attitude....leadership group would need to keep him in check......but no doubt he is a talent, and pretty much perfect replacement for Lakey....defence sured up for another crack at it....!

and still worried trading out Anderson could come back to haunt us....but i guess you alwasy think that

I think the question is, if we get in Carlisle next year and win another premiership is that a risk we are willing to take vs watching Jed become a gun in the times we are back to rebuilding?

Easier to pick up a jet midfielder than a KPP. Just need to pick up O'Meara or a Shiel next year. Reckon that is how they are thinking??

Supposedly he is an elite endurance athlete in the Mark Blicavs mould.

yea but you gotta remember, he would be our 4th picked, back-up Ruckman, all he has to do is stay healthy for a couple of years whilst Pittonet developes then if he isnt anywhere near the AFL standard we can move him on, no harm, no foul, if we get injuries he can be the meat-shield Ruckman.....

Your board's thoughts on Anderson for 15 from our perspective? I'm of the opinion that it's very slightly overs, but I still think he's likely to be as good, if not better, than any kid we pick at 15 regardless.
When looking at the quality A Graders we are about to lose to age (Mitchel, Hodge, Burgoyne), I thought the only young player on our list with the talent to fill one of those roles was Anderson.

The question on Anderson is whether his body can tolerate the workload and his tough style of play. Was extremely disappointed that he had asked to go (compare to Shoe, who chose to stay with no guarantees), but if he is feeling like that, its best he goes.

Its a roll of the dice for you guys; if his body holds up you guys will be delighted, if he has more injuries it will be a failed experiment. We are gambling for a chance at a fourth in a row and need a tall defender, you are gambling for a chance of a GF and need some brilliance.

If Saints offer up pick.5 will he definitely be off to StKilda? or could Carlisle potentially say that he now prefers the Hawks option and force Essendon to take the 15+18 trade?
