Imagine if I was the coach, sorry Yeo, you're not playing this week, I just forgot you exist.

Haha, happens to the best of us mate. Bloody hard trying to remember all their names sometimes.
Be a good late change though, might have to pay for the fine to the VFL for forgetting him lol

a) Simpson has quoted McGovern as saying he sees himself as a forward/ruckman
Well, rodger me with a bargepole !!!!
b) A backline of Mackenzie, Schofield and McGovern is too tall, and our team would be better balanced with Schofield as second KPD and McGovern as second KPF.
Disagree, Schoey moves well and plays short, I don't believe he is too tall. Guv, well, ..... I don't think that is too tall at all? Anyone else think I've got it wrong?

Assuming we get Redden and Jetta.

Sheppard Mackenzie Hurn
Wellingham Schofield Jetta
Gaff Priddis Yeo
Lecras Mcgovern Masten
Darling Kennedy Cripps

Naitanui Shuey Redden

Int: Lycett Sheed Duggan Nelson

Depth: Butler Rosa Hutchings Brown Barrass Sinclair Hill

Thinking about this made me realise Redden would be a really good get especially is scooter goes. We really only had 2 high level inside players this year in Shuey and Priddis.

Also makes me realise we have no need for College, Tunbridge, Mginnity types

Brown needs to be in peoples back lines. He and Schofield can play both tall and small so i dont think those two along with Mckenzie are to tall. We were too small this year with only the two key backs. McGovern plays forward/ruck and Sheppard/Wellingham/hurn then get freed up to do even more rebound/third man up.

...all in my very own humble opinion of course and the assumption of getting Jetta and Redden ;)

B: Hurn Emac Nelson/Butler
HB: Wellingham Schofield Sheppard
C: Jetta Priddis Gaff
HF: Yeo McGovern Darling
F: Cripps Kennedy Hill
R: Naita Shuey Sheed

I: Masten/Duggan, Sinclair, LeCras, Redden/Rosa

Depth:
Backs: Butler/Nelson/Rosa, Barrass, Brown, Ellis
Mids: Duggan/Masten, Hutch, Cavka
Fwds: Newman, McInnes, Lamb, Tunbridge, Lycett

Delist (not sure if we can move all of these guys due to contract status)/Trade/FA:
Karpany, McGinnity, Bennell, Lucas, Selwood, Colledge

Rookies: I'm not sure what will happen here except for Newman upgrade and Lucas shown the door. Brophy I feel can make it but not sure I would upgrade him at this stage unless we have to. Adamson definitely worth persevering with. Does Maginess or RoPo get it in the neck?

I think there will be a bit of a dynamic in 2016 between Butt-man, Nelson and Rosa, mainly dependant on Nelson being able to stake his claim on the spot, by merit and push the older guys out.

After the grannie I'm warming more to acquiring Redden ahead of Jetta but I must admit this is on reputation as I haven't seen a lot of him. We need a bit more grunt inside still. Who knows if we will end up with both or none of them. If we don't get Jetta, Masten and Duggan can play that outside role to a high standard IMO.

Need to chase more midfield quality at the draft IMO. We are still very shallow, for even quality role players.

Brown needs to be in peoples back lines. He and Schofield can play both tall and small so i dont think those two along with Mckenzie are to tall. We were too small this year with only the two key backs.

Depends a lot on what role Schofield plays. I'm a massive Brown fan but I'm wary that Mackenzie, Brown (both off LTIs) and Schofield is too top heavy down back. Schoey added extra size over the last off season which came in handy this year when we needed him to play as the second tall, but if Brown returns Schofield will need to become that flexible, hard running and rebounding third tall again.

This is where Barrass can make a possible impact as the third tall down back with Mackenzie and Schofield the other talls.

Forgot Sheed so I reshuffled the decks a little bit. I like Jetta but I just don't know what role he's going to play; he's got X-Factor to spare but I'm not sure where he fits. Prefer Masten's defensive spread as it was crucial to releasing other outside players into more dangerous positions.

Take out Jetta, *who I really don't want, and put Sheed in, and that looks pretty darn good.
*not a fan of Guv forward tho. Still looks good.

FORGOT SHEED SORRY DOM.

Gov forward is the best way forward.

I was preaching from that chorus book all pre-season but Emac and Brown scuppered that line of reasoning.

People looking to trade Sinkers are bonkers IMO.

I agree. Not rating his season that Grand Final appearance alone because he was a handy second ruck and competes strongly in the ruck and as a tall forward. I feel one of him or Lycett need to be pushed out to get any Lewis Jetta deal over the line but unfortunately and go with a ruckman either late into the national draft or the rookie draft.

B: Sheppard Mackenzie Schofield
HB: Hurn Brown Wellingham
C: Yeo Priddis Redden
HF: LeCras McGovern Jetta
FF: Lycett Kennedy Hill
FOLL: Naitanui Shuey Gaff

INT: Darling Duggan Masten Hutch

(Lycett in the forward line on a rotational role with Nic Nat and Darling.)

Problem is, this leaves out Ellis, McInness, Newman, Butler, Rosa and Sinclair, but this is probably the best possible lineup I reckon.

Rather SHeed than Jetta TBH.

What is with all the Lycett love?? WTF has he done? Sinclair is so far in front of him in my opinion. Better mark, twice as mobile, better ruckman. He has just had a good year.
He had a shocker in the GF but he had at least 10-12 mates who were just as bad. We throwing all them out?
Lycett to me looks like a ruckman from the 70,s, slow and not mobile. The game is way to fast for players like that.

S**t, forgot about Sheed. Might even slot him in ahead of either Lycett or Hill...

I thought he did alright for the Royals, but on that note it was a flipped coin for me. Both are talented ruckmen I reckon.

I thought Lycett has had OP. He was dynamic in 2014 with his tackling and chasing which is why he got first look this year.

I think we should be trying to retain all our 3 rucks at this point. Naita looks like he is going to be dogged by injury throughout his career unfortunately.

Lycett is definitely not slow.
