i believe the redhorse called the JC and menzel ... JC turned out to be true as did menzel. i think the redhorse also called parker which turned out to have no evidence of happening. out of the 100s of afl players, 2 our 3 is pretty good. anyways, this is the best time of year, the possibilities are endless ... people who take posts seriously in a mock thread should seriously shoot themselves.

The problem is, anyone who has any real contacts within the club doesn't want to share out that information, especially to random people on the internet in fear of jeopardising their friend's career at the club.

So in that scenario, every rumour is at least once removed most of the time, ie from another club contact, or a friend of a friend.

Unless we bring in a genuine blue chip mid I won't be getting too excited about what we do this year.

I am more looking forward to two of the guys we traded in last off season having a good off season and making us a better team next year. Menzel and Hampton will essentially be new recruits next IMO.

I think your accusing me of something others have said re Mackay, my general comment on Mackay is he has been underwhelming for most of the last 2 -3 years and has rarely shown he's prepared to run and carry or take the game on. IMO Eli Templeton would certainly offer more line breaking speed and run and carry than almost anyone on our current list, is out of contract and would not cost a lot in collateral to secure I wouldn't think.....and from what I've seen a pretty decent kick.

Hamish has a penchant for Tasmanians too..

If you could get Eli for a third, it'd be worth pulling the trigger on. If it doesn't work out then oh well but he has some pretty decent wheels

It's funny, but this is actually the opposite to the problem. The problem is with those that don't believe those with sources and derail threads calling the rumour starter a troll.

I think those posting rumours should have to be as specific as possible.

No generic "I've heard we're chasing a big fish". Well, duh.

Who did you hear this from? Be as specific as possible without giving away sources names eg. The club, player agent, friend.

When will this occur? Eg, trade week.

How likely is this to happen? Eg, 50/50, highly likely, done deal.
