Has not played enough games. Averaged over 30 touches but not enough games. Wont feature in the Casey B&F either for the same reason.

Sounds like a reasonable nickname. But I think he was referring to the poster who asked if Michie was cut on the page before this one.

He played development the week before IIRC, had 3 weeks off before that
But I doubt he will be around next year.

I like Newton. Definitely not a list-clogger, though not good enough for best 22. Goes hard and knows how to win the ball.

Unless we trade in several players I don't think we need to make many cuts this year.

To be fair, the main difference between the end of our season and the end of North's is that theirs took any extra 2 weeks to happen. Both will likely end with being smashed by an actual premiership contender.

Jake Spencer would get picked up by another club in a heart beat.

He is becoming a very good tap ruckman.

It's just that he can't do what Gawn does around the ground - but to be fair, nor can any other ruckman in the league.

Not being facetious, but have you watched him at Casey this year - is that how you've based that sentence on? Because he certainly hasn't shown that at AFL level. Spencer is a good trier, he has a real dip physically, but he's a long, long way from being a decent ruck at AFL level - based on the AFL games I've seen him play.

Spencer is a good trier, he has a real dip physically, but he's a long, long way from being a decent ruck at AFL level - based on the AFL games I've seen him play.

Yes I have seen and followed him at Casey. He didn't play a senior game this year - how else would I determine his progress?

His tap work is excellent and if we didn't have Gawn for any periods of the year, he would have made a good back-up.

I would say he's easily in the top half of back-up rucks in the comp.
