It is heartening to see the club bringing in people who are looking to challenge the norm, to help our club take that next step from good to great an living what we have set out to achieve,So this year, as chief commercial officer Justin Reeves launches into his first pre-season at Geelong, a revolution is taking place.
It’s all about the fans, more than ever before.
“Everything that we do now and every decision that we make from a membership perspective is geared around the customer — what does the customer get from it? Not just a commercial return for the club,” Reeves, the former commercial trailblazer at Collingwood, said.
“These days, everything has got to go through multiple filters. From the old days, even though I wasn’t there, but from what I can gather, it was very much around ‘what’s the commercial result?’
“But now it’s got to go through a two-stage process — it’s got to be both commercial and it also has to be good for the customer.”
