Aaron Vandenberg. I just can't see him being a top ten, so probably shouldn't be contenplating him. What are some thoughts on him from you people?

Fwd mid. Price is 400K

I made some points in support of him as a pick above, and his pre-season has only helped his cause. 136 in the first game from 19 touches and 66 from 13 touches in 54% game time before hurting his ankle.

Has had an excellent pre-season by all reports. Pick him as a forward if anything, because I think he's a legitimate chance to average 95+ and finish a top 8-10 forward

Yes true, but his possie count is effected when he's forced to play as a pure forward. 2012 is a good example, played forward a lot that year and averaged only 24 possies a game for a 97 SC average. 2013 to a lesser extent, but his numbers were down that year as well. I don't mind him resting forward, but not playing as a forward for big chunks of games.

I don't see the point of playing him there. He's there best inside midfielder... they have small forwards with Christenson, Zorko and Green. Rich is non existent for 3/4 of a match. Hanley will scoot off the halfback line

He plays as a medium forward.

Anyone crazy enough to take a punt on Joel Selwood despite his lack of pre-season?

He's not the worst option, especially at his price.

2014 he played half a qtr of NAB 2 and came off sore.
Then started the year with 157, 140, 138 and 126

Can't remember the rest of his pre-season that year, but he's a champ no doubt.

Not crazy, just ballsy!

I'm happy to wait on both Danger and Selwood and take my pick later in the year

i reckon the dee's will be much better this year also.
can see him doin 85-100 ppg at a guess

has to be tagged less this year also id say.
good pick just not for me

Whats the opinion of Hanley? I have him as my M4
He should play as a midfielder all year, but probably won't score well enough to be a keeper. Tends to get tagged out of games too often for him to be a consistent scorer.
Not enough points to go around at Brisbane anymore. His best years were off half back without Beams, uninjured Rich, Robinson, Taylor, Zorko cone up a level.
Redden has left but Robinson will get his points IMO.
To be fair, he'll get more mid time than all those players bar Beams. Averaged 103 in 2014, should better that this year if he stays fit.

Which Sydney mid do people think will score the highest? I want to lean towards Parker as he is one of my favourite players to watch. Mr consistency JPK will offer consistent 105-115, however I'm starting to warm towards Hanners. It's killing me!

Hanners hands down. gets it inside and out, disposal is good and is almost untagable.
Parker gets a lot of hard and tough footy which drags down his already average d/e and makes him clanger prone. can take contested marks, kick goals and tackle so will go big occasionally but wont do it week in, week out.
JPK i just cant bring myself to pick, no real reasoning behind it cause he's a proven SC gun.

Sydney have plenty of SC capable mids including Titch, Jack and McVeigh. my main concern is that they'll end up sharing the points, but if i had to pick one it would be Hannebery without a second thought.

Ablett and Rockliff have made this hard by not playing any pre-season games. Both injury hit last year but bona fide fantasy points pigs. To choose or not to choose...
if they play round 1 then they're both in my side...pre-season form be damned.

Assuming they both lineup in round 1, I'll be taking them.

If you take them about they get injured, easy 1 trade to another premium
If you don't take them and they kill it and go 130+, good luck trying to get them in, will cost you many more trades and you miss big points

If they play, they'll score big.

Fitness wise, I'm not worried about Rocky, Ablett is the one who scares me after last year

Got me twitching, switching out my mids for the first time in about a month. If selected their in, if it goes to crap
you can pretty much get a quality mid to replace them, Selwood, Laird, and SheilD spring to mind as good options.

For me you can add Beams as well. If they are selected for round 1 they are in, no iffs, buts or maybes.
Easy to trade out if necessary to another premium if you have to. Odds say one will probably fall over but I'm prepared to cop that.

stevebbb thoughts on how many games Cox is likely to play?
He'll only play if we get injuries I think.
Playing both Grundy and Witts will be trialed. We also have forwards White, Howe, Moore and Gault who can pinch hit in the ruck, so along with Cloke, we can't take too many talls.

If we don't make finals he will probably be given a debut very late in the season. If we're doing well I can't see it happening this year.

Hanners, Mitchell, JPK, Parker, Jack in that order for me.
