We were very average last year with our trading, Jed is young but Farren just seemed to be a list clogger. Plus our previous two "brilliant" trades for the injury prone Waite and Higgo did what every other team thought they would do. Am a little scared when journos write stuff about us and cloke or vickery and Wells leaving while we dump boomer. Just seems our list management is a bit of a compromise rather than a coherent plan

I am sure that there are people who would happily make a Boyd type of trade.

Let's say Cunnington as I think his value is higher.

We'd trade him + pay part of his salary to get an unproven kid on more money than any other player on our list.

Then next year we'd hear rumblings oh x isn't happy because new shiny toy is getting significantly more than he is but producing far less. In fact it'd probably be blamed on their being no Boomer and the effect on the culture.

We've not really lost any one in a period of the greatest ability to take players from other clubs. Some poster seem to think this happened by accident rather than design.

I'm not saying we don't go for big trades, I'm saying whoever we get in has to make us better, cannot be some sort of expensive question mark.

There needs to be a level of certainty there (at the very least, player x needs to be a best 22 player once theyve peaked.)
