Gee...

;)

I'd take the AFL's values as correct given they're the master list. Plus it's inline with my expectations of what the AFL was going to do.
Easy fixed :p Could've sworn theirs was the other way around before :\

So do you think 63 and 64 are both work 112 points then? That's the only way I can see for GWS to end up after North :drunk: It doesn't seem logical but I guess the AFL doesn't want any other club complaining of losing their points so in effect, GWS's pick is additional to the draft order (unlike compensation picks where they push everything else down the order?) If GWS's 64 is now worth 101 points then that would be a bit back to the future - you are your own grandfather sort of situation.

I think when the time comes it'll be whatever the draft point value is in the AFL's list. In this case it ends up meaning it's a 1011 point penalty (as you say, why penalise North the 11 points) but by the time of the draft it'll be academic because of limitations of list space moving the pick back up and reducing the penalty.

Yep, officially confusing. Doesn't matter that much anyway anymore, I can just put it in in plain text now instead of formulas seeing as it's not going to jump around with the changing ladder every week.

End of Day 4 (12/10):

Error there Lore. Motlop to Port.
Good thing you're checking. One of the tweets posted into trade talk on the afl website said 35, I didn't even think about it :p

I think the picks are right in the spreadsheet but there's some bizarre error in the conditional formatting that controls the colours/bolding, so I'll repost the screenshot in a little while.

That compo pick just pushed the picks with no points up into the fifth round, caused a bit of trouble. Fixed now, I hope.

Motlop compo (pick 31).

Double check now giantroo?
Now the picks are the wrong way. Geelong is meant to have pick 35 for losing Motlop.

Too much trade radio seems to fry the brain. Especially the damned ads.

Geelong has pick 35, Port has Motlop. The points match up, the rounds match up, the colours match up, the bolding matches up... I hope. agdlndjfgnalkdjfsn

That looks better. :thumbsu:

so brisbanes pick 19 compensation pick got pushed back to 20 because of geelongs pick 19 compensation pick?
Brisbane’s compensation pick is pick 18, it’s not affected. Their second rounder got pushed back to 20 though with the compensation pick slotting in before it.

geeez i hope this draft is as poor as people are saying.
Port started last year to get out of this draft and continue to trade out of it instead going for more picks next year.
We dont rate this at all by the looks of it

Harley Balic (Fremantle) for pick 66 (Melbourne).
Harrison Wigg, 54 and 2018 4th round pick* (Adelaide) for pick 39 (Gold Coast).

*Waiting for confirmation of which 2018 pick has been traded (Adelaide also have Melbourne's) so 2018 spreadsheet isn't quite utd.
