Gee it's disheartening when you compare our draft position to Fremantles. They could secure Rayner and Stephenson on draft day.

We need to get more creative with our list management. Excuses like "he doesn't want to leave", "he's contracted" and "he's a top 5 player" aren't excuses that I'm willing to accept.

If we do, then we are looking at 4 years of bottom 4 finishes absolute minimum.

And they also lost one of their brightest prospects in Weller.

We very rarely get good players wanting to leave, which is probably why we don't end up with high draft picks every year.

I expect getting 2 allows them to reach for Naughton at 5.

Not really that jealous of a club that lost one of their best young talents after giving him three years of development. Good place to start again but it's still starting again.

Cerra is a good solid player to begin the rebuild with.

I don't think he's Scott Pendlebury, more like Dom Tyson with a good peg.

Hoping we take a bit of a risk with the second rounder though. We need to get some real athletes onto the list, either pace/power/size what ever (still decent players though), no Majak's.

I'd almost be reaching for Kelly at the second rounder.

Think he's going to be a jet mature ager.

I have a feeling it might be Stephenson.

As for who I would like....havent seen the top 5-6 really play much to form an opinion. Just want it to be a good ball user. I have no time for guys that are poor by foot and hand. They say Stephenson isnt great but could just be a tall lanky co-ordination issue that comes with not being fully grown and matured body.

Freo currently have a midfield consisting of fyfe, the hill brothers, neale, mundy and even walters when he plays in there. They desperately need forwards and defenders, not midfielders. Surely they take rayner (mid and forward) at 2 if brissy don't pick him at 1? Leaves dow to at least 3 as I'm expecting LDU to be in the top 2.

All the discussion on their board is they want midfielders. LDU, Rayner, Stephenson and Fogarty are popping up at picks 2 and 5.

Fre0 last few first round picks. Logue, Weller,Apeness, Simpson, Sheridan and Crozier. Not very good.
No sure bet they will get someone as good as Weller.

I have a sneaking suspicion Brayshaw could go at 4
If we’re pinning the pick on Stephenson’s ‘coordination issue’ hoping he’ll just grow out of it we deserve all the misery we get.
Our recruitment has not been bad at all last 5-6 drafts so I do t see it happening

It's bloody quick for a 17 year old that hasn't been on an athletics scholarship!!!
