I agree obviously that the Weller Deal is shocking however your reaction to GAJ surprises me in that you think it’s terrible.

I was scared we were going to get lumbered with 35 or worse.

I am pissed off at trading pick 2 but I don't believe in knee jerk reactions. I see the potential in Weller.
If he becomes an elite mid and the WCE fall out of the top 8 (which I reckon they will because their midfield is shite) then Clayton will be vindicated as we will have excellent picks in what experts think is a 'super draft'. The other thing that would excite me is if we find a gem at 19 like Aiden Bonar who could be every bit as good as the top 3.
I'm an eternal optimist so I understand people won't agree with me but I think we will have a fair idea of how this trade went at the end of next year, not now.

As a Club we don't really have any good times to reflect on- just been struggle street from day 1

And today we're supposed to believe all that's stopped and we've turned a corner?
Plonking pick 2 on a kids shoulders is a big deal
I really hope Lachy's up to it

But it has a big potential downside
Even if we'd drawn it out to pick 4 or 5 I don't think there would have been so much angst

yeah those are Freos ball slapping against us
I can barely breathe such is the ferocity of the slapping from all angles.
Remember last year when the AFL was ready to come to bat for Hawthorn because we apparently were asking to much for O'Meara, not a peep this year when the Lions and the Suns are dealing with difficult clubs. They say they want all clubs to be fair yet we get screwed while others get easy passes.

Mr Bods you love the Suns so much but why are you so unhappy. We all said that we believe Evans is the right man and what ever he thinks is right must be right. How do you know pick 2 would stay, how do you know he would be good. Of course we would want to keep pick 2 but we got a quality future 200 gamer who will put on the Suns jumper on with pride every weekend instead. At first I was angry with the decision but after listening to Clayton and dissecting it I believe this makes sense. You love the Suns so much so I don't understand why you would want Evans gone. We have a new coach and a great YOUNG list, we will be turning a new corner and we want you on it. Same to Experimental Yellow Feathers Iva Bigun. You've stuck by this club through its darkest times, we are starting to start a new phase and you guys need to be here. Buy a membership and keep the club moving up. Trust me you are all needed. Then look at the positives
I was careful to not overreact I have asked for an explanation as to why we would do this and why I should renew, I think after we just shat the bed it’s a fair enough question to ask

Guys I think we need to focus on what Stewie Dew will do to develop all those guns from last years draft and Fiorini and be happy with what we have and maximise what we have
We need to get a couple of PSD mature players now including Swallow for cheap and get our team playing competitive footy in 2018, LDU is gone and our whole mindset and club cannot be tainted by what he may or may not have brought to us in a few years, we have to start winning footy games in 6 months time so we have to put lollies in the lolly shop NOW
The pain is the fact that we lost this deal BUT in doing deals for a living you always remember that this deal is not your last and bad deals get balanced out by wins down the road PLUS the fact that we need to ass ream Freo and keep that in the bank for a later time
Lets open all our presents now, line them up and look at them and how they stack up as a team and not bitch about what we didn't get
Oh by the way we have a new coach, Gary Ablett and Marcus Ashcroft are gone too

Firstly - Don't go over to Freo board just to let your anger go. I like having you all here, you will only get banned.
Secondly. Freo (and other clubs) - Respect your opinion, but you are all on a short leash. Not because I don't like you, but you know.... Poking the bear and all.
For the record, as part of the bigger picture, I don't mind today too much. Sure I would have loved #2 to take the chance with LDU or Raynor. Hope they don't wanna go home in 2-3 years. But with the picks we already have for an insurance policy over the next season, the up and coming kids we already have, and now a semi proven gun kid WHO ACTUALLY WANTS TO BE HERE. It could be a lot worse.
