Higgins was the best TAC footballer last year. No. 1 ranked for champion data so from a moneyball/stats point of view, he really should be our pick, if he is available at pick 6.

Fogerty all the way, apparently hasn't been back running for long after the injury and still beat Brander by 30+ seconds in the time trial, if he's gone then the next best mid, i'll throw up in my mouth if we take Naughton.

I’m pretty ok with all of them but the Fog for me is the only one who has potential to be the next Brownlow medal winning league dominating traits. Maybe Cerra too if there.

So would I but that's only based on what I keep reading here on BigFooty, of which 90% probably comes back to how a small group of people (Bishop, Knightmare and co) rate him anyway.

If he's bid on early I'll try and tell myself it just means he's better than we thought.

I think there’s always the talk with the f/s. Brown and Daicos last year kept getting talked about getting an earlier bid than they eventually did. If someone wants to bid on Brown that early we may well let the team have him because I think it’s too early for him.

Brown has greater future scope as a midfielder though. He'll get a bid at least. Don't expect it to be that high though. But it worries me when it's BA saying it because his contacts regarding Pies rumours are spot on.

Balta will get close to our #38 from all reports, but he goes just before, so those with their fingers crossed don't get too excited on the night. Hearing mid 30s.

Is this a ‘Pies rumour’ though? The club wouldn’t know where a bid is going to come so he’d have to have gotten this from somewhere else rather than a Collingwood contact. Brown's covers the ground better and has better athleticism compared to Daicos. It doesn't help Brown is in a weaker draft compared to Daicos as well. The Pies will have an idea when a bid will come in, late second round is just before our 38 anyway, so we'd pretty much just have to cough that up, I'd rather not though. Hopefully it's a bit of smoke and mirrors. Brown is the type of player that stats don't do justice though, nor do highlights, you've just got to watch him live and yeah he doesn't have that confidence to win a heap of it, but you can tell he has draftable qualities when he does get it.

He hasn't stood out and excelled at one role, versatility is great, but if he's say the fifth best KPD, KPF, ruck etc. then there's four of each ahead of him (as an example). That's his issue more than anything I'd say. It was mostly the media that talked him up to be this huge first round prospect, I think he was around that 20-25 mark in reality, he's only slipped a little.

I don't know if the rumour is true, it's only the fact BA is close with the Pies so that's why I'd be cautious. If it's after #38 I'm happy.

He hasn't had a great deal of stability that's for sure. I think he'll make the grade, won't be a star, but he'll be a serviceable say 15-22 player. Tough to say now though, it all comes down to development.
