Wouldn't a fairer analysis be that because a team was always defending their defensive stats would be better? Its like tackle counts. They eye test suggests the teams with high tackle counts are behind in the contest.
I can tell you that Power Pete was given the authority, by the Port Adelaide Football Club, to take Photo's at any time at training, with the proviso, that he cannot make any comment on any of the training or players.
Exactly.Wouldn't a fairer analysis be that because a team was always defending their defensive stats would be better? Its like tackle counts. They eye test suggests the teams with high tackle counts are behind in the contest.
Phumigate I assume you meant? Can we just fumigate this thread so the Port bugs crawl away?
@phroggy ?Phumigate I assume you meant?
@phroggy ?
I think it's likely to be a case of someone going on a power trip on the back of a "yeah, sure, whatever".Alleged, purple monkey dishwasher, 3rd hand "authority" is not accreditation.
He has rights to use, and therefore own/assert rights, or he does not.
Does he have that formal right?
You should try looking harder then.I think only Port Adelaide has done this. I don't see any photo's on any other BF boards etc.
I do know that it took a while for Port to give the authority to Peter, and he abides with their wishes.
Before he had to ask if it was ok to take photo's and they told him yes or no.
Since you're here again I'll go ahead and assume the cold turkey approach didn't work.Firstly don't flatter yourself that I'm here everyday - I haven't looked at this board for a couple of weeks like I said.
Can you claim Copyright if you took the photos with an IPhone?

Ahem...
Ahem...
2 weeks without being here? I'd like to see that.I guess we'll see if I'm right this season now that we have everyone back on board won't we?
Firstly don't flatter yourself that I'm here everyday - I haven't looked at this board for a couple of weeks like I said.
Remember all that shit you lot gave me about me talking about our defensive tactics? How we were trying to do a press all over the ground and how I used the heat map of possessions to prove it?
Here's s comparison of your defence to ours, courtesy of Champion Data:
Forward 50 defence: Adelaide 3rd, Port 6th
Attacking Midfield defence: Adelaide 7th, Port 5th
Centre defence: Adelaide 8th, Port 2nd
Defensive Midfield defence: Adelaide 3rd, Port 9th
Defensive 50 defence: Adelaide 2nd, Port 1st
"They (Port) actually invested in the press more than any other side...They won matches when their press worked and they lost when it faltered." - AFL Prospectus 2017
The difference being - you had your best 22 on the ground for pretty much the whole season. The same can't be said for us. We had to play three rookies in defence.
Here's another thing - I told you that most of your scores are generated from counter-attack: 19.9% from defensive 50 (5th) and 22.6% from defensive midfield (4th) vs 12.2% from centre bounce (10th), 30.9% from attacking midfield (8th - because everyone presses kick ins) and 14.3% from forward 50 (17th). So 42% of your scoring was generated from defence during open play...but it wasn't counter attack.
Compare that to West Coast, who people mistakenly think you play like - 16.4% from defensive 50 (11th) and 19.0% from defensive midfield (15th) vs 10.8% from centre bounce (14th), 37.4% from attacking midfield (1st) and 16.4% from forward 50 (13th). That's a press.
Oh, and if you want to know what they say about Adelaide, it's that you need one or two more midfielders to step up to be a true contender - since apart from Sloane who is elite and Douglas who is above average, the rest of your mids rate average. Which is why I told you that you needed Gibbs, in spite of his front running ways. At Carlton he was rated above average - in your system he would have been elite.
heck!

Brisbane have signed XXXX as a sponsor. Apparently CUB are no longer a protected AFL sponsor.
Opens the door for West End or Coopers to sponsor us?

GOLD Coast will wear its traditional red and gold guernsey - the national colours of China - when it plays Port Adelaide in Shanghai after the Power asked the AFL to rule on dress code for the historic match.

Bwahhh hahhhaa hhhahhhhhaaa!!!
1. Screw EddiePort should get permission from Eddie to wear their prison bars. That'll counteract the Shanghai Suns use of China's national colours.
Coopers please. Adelaide Oval sponsors. Dark ales for night games.http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...n/news-story/a62d5801b5073756869631e4b12407ca

Cooper's yes, WE no. They already sell WE at AO anyway, though I imagine if we signed with Cooper's the SMA would prevent us from selling any non-Lion beer. Plus Cooper's is local, the Japanese own West End now.http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...n/news-story/a62d5801b5073756869631e4b12407ca
