Who plays key forward during the 5+ games Dixon wont play.

Yes they can have Trengove Ruck and Ryder up forward. But that is essentially the same set up they had this year. Ryder is not that great a foward either. Neither is Trengove.

Their other options are Eddy, Clurey or Westhoff as a key forward.

Shhhh. They're hanging all their hopes on the return of Fatprick Wider - don't spoil it for them!

2. I never said we went easy. I said you took advantage of the situation knowing that there was no way we could retaliate in kind because we'd look like the biggest ogres in the history of Australian sport.
Delusional. If Port had watched our game from the week before (surely you watch your upcoming opposition) they'd have seen West Coast belting a much more vulnerable group of players in their first game after Walsh's death. Even when the result was beyond doubt the Eagles were still going overboard in celebration, making silly faces when they scored. I found it pretty distasteful, but they copped no heat at all for it.

You guys saw a broken team the week before and thought you just needed to show up for the points.

I heard that in his time off he completed a blueprint for peace in the Middle East.

That task was less challenging than the expectations put on him this coming season.

It was the one Showdown they should have had in the bag
Emotionally drained our boys were

I like how the same Tealsters saying the Womans league will drop in attendance and popularity also say that marketing to the Chinese to grow the game and get Chinese Nationals (not just expat Aussies) to attend and actively support their club is a sure winner.

I know I'm late to the story, but I love the GC/Port development.

We want to play in China but we're not giving up a home game to do it.
We want to retain all home team rights even though it's your home game.
We didn't realise the team that agreed have the colours of China so make them wear a different strip, AFL.

What a club of potatoes.

It's what they do: agree to any conditions at all and then try to change them down the track.

And when they don't get what they want - which they were never going to get anyway - blame everyone else so they can appear "strong".

Funny how they were all interested at the start when women's footy represented the type of club they are, now it's all "women's footy will fade away".

Port Power: "We love to be hated and we don't care what anyone thinks of us."

Port Power facing an Adelaide side minus its coach: "Let's go easy on them because they're in grief and we don't want to be seen as the bad guys."

:drunk:

Brisbane Roar beat Chinese Super League team Shanghai Shenhua last night at Shanghai’s Hongkou Stadium. It is obvious from this pic why Shanghai, the Blues, had no following from the Chinese supporters who favoured the Roar based purely on colours.

So no support for the Roar even though they were in orange ???? And playing SHANGHAI in SHANGHAI ???
:D:D:D

Yeah -it's obvious alright that they completely deluded and are grasping at any straw these days!

Janus (silent J) is basically saying they "let us win".

Port are the reason Shanghai Cred/Rhinehart are exporting beef, apparently.

Let's not forget their "We don't mind which guernsey Gold Coast wear but we're still going to complain to the AFL about it and ask them to make a ruling on it".

How can anyone forget that? It's the best part in my opinion. They tried to get another team to wear alternative gear in their own home game and even got the sport's governing body involved, and afterwards KT's going "no biggie".

We believes ya KT

Funny how Port arrange for a game in China & the majority of the crowd are likely to follow the opposition.

Will be interesting to see who plays in China (if anyone), the following year...
GC and GWS?

Just reading some stuff from Port supporters on the Gold Coast color issue and they have literally no idea about the difference between Australian culture and Chinese culture.

"Just because I'm Australian doesn't mean I would immediately follow teams wearing green and gold", says* a stupid Australian Port Adelaide supporter with no concept of other cultures and the difference between here and China.

*may be paraphrased
