I wonder if not getting jelly coincides with the news breaking of Acres' extension - when we realised we couldn't hit minimum salary requirements we extended his contract and front loaded the hell out of it. Probably useful considering the house he just purchased.

Either Connors is playing other clubs or he's playing GWS. As it stands right now, its reports that he will sign. No ink on the paper as of yet. I would love to snag him.

However, if he does sign with GWS, then I am looking forward to what Ameet has lined up as plan B & C - as MG said, something is being planned but it's all very hush hush. Ameet and co. haven't done a lot wrong yet, so I'll back them in.

Greater Western Sydney star Josh Kelly is reportedly set to shun huge rival offers, most notably from North Melbourne and re-sign with the Giants.

Fox Footy’s Gerard Whateley reported on Wednesday that Kelly will re-commit for a further two seasons.

“Josh Kelly is recommitting to the Giants,” Whateley said on Fox Footy’s AFL 360.

“The negotiations are all but complete — all the heavy lifting is done. He’s going to recommit for the next two years and all that really remains is finessing the formal announcement.

“But the story’s run its course and Kelly’s made his decision and the Giants are extremely comfortable — they’re more than comfortable with that, they’re quite buoyant.”

The 22-year-old has played 82 games for the Giants since being selected with pick No.2 in the 2013 National Draft.

Well his gone

Kelly not a game changer, I've heard it all
It's a matter of opinion, I watched him all year are you trying to tell me that this guy is on the same level as a buddy, Dangerfield, Selwood etc.

He isn't even the best mid in his own team he's a very good young player who may have had the best year he ever has.

Have you noticed that he isn't tagged what does that tell you.

My favourite thing about ITKs is that half of them are probably 14 year old kids who can put 2 and 2 together with an air of confidence.

I know that's easy to say now, but I've only just caught up again after last week. Did this thread accidentally get moved to Bay 13 on Friday night?

Pick 8 for pinga Stringer and 7 to the draft?

I can't stand those twitter accounts of ttw etc because you know they are all 14 year olds googling and then posting and claiming and hoping

kelly has done f**k all and we didn't even know who he was 10 months ago. Don't know why we are panicking, our midfield is stacked. Go to the draft and get some key position players who want to prove themselves. Gws is gonna go straight sets btw :relieved::boom::peace:
Applaud your efforts of getting so many things wrong with the one post. Incredible.

I'm not trying to tell you anything.

How about we let the players themselves have a say, after all, they'd know better.

AFLPA MVP VOTING

1. Dustin Martin — 1333 votes

2. Patrick Dangerfield — 776 votes

3. Josh Kelly — 416 votes

4. Rory Sloane — 267 votes

5. Lance Franklin — 215 votes

6. Tom Mitchell — 196 votes

7. Matt Crouch — 111 votes

8. Josh Kennedy — 98 votes

9. Joe Daniher — 78 votes

10. Robbie Gray — 77 votes

So it appears he's somewhat rated, tagged or not.
This is without taking into consideration the age gap to the other players you mentioned.

I reckon it's all Riewoldt's fault

The phone call to Kelly probes went "stay at GWS & win a flag. I busted my ass for this club & was rewarded with campaigners kicking the ball over my head & at my feet for 13 out of 17 years... Be smart, stay at GWS"

******* Riewoldt ;)

Get ******
lol Roo's whole thing when he retired was how proud he was that he got to stay a one-club player so how can he turn around and tell Jelly to walk

But seriously you have to feel sad for @lolnorf when when one of their posters posts this...
"Would be funny if North win a flag and all these players they were after missed out ala Buckley.."
Embarrassing really.
