They could both be A graders, I think they have already shown they can break a game open.

Dusty on the other hand was always a different beast he may not have shown much more in terms of his form but he was always a powerful brute of a kid.

I have watched him since he was first drafted and he wasn't huge and played forward a lot like Gresh and JB. He was a strong player always but wasn't like an obvious superstar from day one. He did the stuff that made you think he could be a special player but not all the time.

I'm not that worried either way. The Dogs lost their captain, paid a Million a year for a guy who was struggling in the NAEFL and were so toxic that they looked ready to implode. I was smuggly ribbing my Dogs mates, 12 months later they were laughing at our lack of premierships.

Kelly might come and he might not, we might go to the draft and get the 2 players who are the next superstars of the AFL with those picks. Otherwise we might turn them into two moneyball players who end up making just as much impact as Kelly for half the money that allows us to keep our list of rapidly improving kids together.

Don't stress it, if it happens it happens. While the guy hasn't signed he's still in play.

No.. They didnt all report that an announcement of him signing at GWS was imminent.
SOME of The media speculated that it was certain he would leave and GWS was the most likely to get him. But they didnt, as what happens alot during trade and FA.
This is different, literally every media outlet.. HS, The Age, AFL website, SEN, SBS, ABC etc have ALL reported on this.
For all of them to be wrong, after releasing articles would be pretty bad.

Are we good enough and bold enough to pull the trigger at the right price?

I am comfortable giving up 1 of our first rounders for Stringer. Draft picks are overrated.

Give him 20 minutes midfield time a game with a view of upping this each year. If we can turn him into a 40+ goal forward who runs through the midfield in bursts we have an absolute weapon on our hands.

If we go to the draft I think we will try to trade up our selection to get one of the top 4 picks which are pure mids. And to use up our player payments we will pick up some player who has been overpaid by another club and they need the salary space...Sydney?

besides the forums the Saints have been just quietly ticking along poor old North have been talking up their targets and falling short each time.. we both look to have missed on the same players we both wanted but from a media perspective they come out of this looking very poorly ...
