The go home reason is as soft as Flora margarine in isolation.

However, Schache’s father died recently and his mother is on her own. A sons instinct to look after their mother in this situation is a good trait.

It is significantly different to players that just get home sick, that is soft.

Fair enough, didn't know he lost his dad.

Oh geez it’s not our business to comment on whether players wanting to go home or being homesick is soft or not.

Nothing wrong with preferring to be around family

Well we can as it's a forum. Until it's one of ours, then you'd be upset. It is soft no matter how it's spun. These young guys would get a massive shock if they went into the real world at 18. I work with a lot of younger people who relocate all round aus and even globally to kick their career into gear. At the very least you should give the club that drafted you 6-8 years of your service and also serve out your contract.

Balme serial liar

The problem with serial lying is that one day there’s a wolf. It doesn’t help to publicly go so far one way only to back flip constantly. Kinda loses its effect ay

Given the "insane connection" we had this year which to be honest was what carried us to a premiership, and the intense competitiveness with which each of our team played each week, I'm finding myself really picky about the types of characters we'd be bringing in and I think the club feels the same. Character and competitiveness. I really rate both Watts and Stringer as players but I don't want to bring them into the club for this reason. The only exception I'd make to this is Schache, if the club think it's a good idea (not to say that he has bad character at all, but competitiveness questioned). This is mainly because we need a long term replacement for Jack and the idea that a former pick #2 in his second year could be going so cheap is pretty nuts. We're unlikely to get a better tall prospect with pick 15 or 17. But overall I'd lean to decent players who we know will give 100% week in week out.

That rumour is not quite right. They've actually offered Andrew Swallow a 5 year extension. He's not keen to be a one club player, so is looking at his options and wants to head up to the Gold Coast Suns to play with his brother.

#lolnorf

I'd like to post an open letter to the GCS list management team.

Please understand, I posted my "Andrew Swallow to GCS" response as a joke, simply to make fun of #lolnorf. It was not meant to be a serious trade suggestion. For the good of the competition, please recruit my 95 year old grandmother instead as she is certainly faster than Andrew.

Cheers.

Mate have no idea, its not like i have a batphone conected to the rfc :p. I doubt tpp would be an issue though

Well you wouldn’t need a bat phone when Balme actually comes out and says it on radio. Think of it more as Balme putting out a bat signal

All seems like an odd approach that the club goes out of its way to say we’re out only to be working behind the scenes to do a deal

Surely people are taking the piss about cal Moore
He's got potential but the circlejerk starts, picks up momentum and suddenly he's a guaranteed future star. I personally think he'll be serviceable half-forward if he keeps developing. Could play 10 games next year.

Not at all. Showing really strong signs.

On the rookie list again though which will be his third year. Would have to make a big jump in improvement to get an upgrade and make it from here

People talking him up like he is Carey he is more likely not to make the grade then make it hopefully he does but seriously McBean showed more in the twos ffs

Awkward height too - not quite KP size and we don’t play a third tall forward. Maybe as back up for Grimes and Broad if Batch gets the chop.
