Brissy just won't bother trading him if they can't get a first rounder.
He will just sit in the NEAFL all year then

Ice vovos are balmy fav biscuit i thinkBalmey, Richo and Blair just sitting in the trade room watching GF replay and munging out on free pastries
Because Brisbane specifically told him even if he wasn’t happy sign now and if your still unhappy later on we will explore trade options and be more willing to facilitate a trade. Hasn’t gone back on his word
I wonder how much Schache is on at the Lions

Who said he decided he wanted to stay? The singing of the contract could've just been so Brisbane had more leverage on the trade table. Here's why ... who the hell says he wants out of Brisbane for months, then signs new multi-year deal, and decides another month later he wants out again??? Irrational behaviour and you have to seriously question where his head is at.
And .... he made himself unavailable for the NEAFL grand final. Seriously? We had blokes at Tigerland falling over themselves to get a senior grand final sport - and even reserves grand final spot - yet this guy is above that.
We are in a position now where we don't have to take risks, gambles, punts, whatever on blokes with issues as we have in thisn past. Unfortunately this guy appears to have more than a few.
To ensure a club doesn’t bend Brisbane over through means of pre season draft ect and so he holds trade value. The word from multiple people is schache doesn’t want to let Brisbane down so happy obliged. He isn’t attempting to screw them over in the slightestThen what is the point of the contract then?
we would be mad not to do 15 or 17 for schache. we are desperate for future talls and its unlikely that a forward with his potential will drop to those picks. no riskier than choosing a less talented player with that pick, and fulfills a definite need.
Just wanted to check where we're at with the possum? Let's not lose focus here
The potential reward would be worth the risk. Way more than Yarran who we traded for a similar pick.Guy is being pushed out of his club - why take a risk on a player where there’s something clearly wrong irrespective of the pick. Have we not learnt our lesson?

The draft is the exact same thing tho. Its a risk. You have no idea how they will perform at AFL level. E.g Lennon.Wouldn’t be touching this trade with a 10 foot barge pole. We don’t need to take the risk. Should be going to the draft and using our picks
I'm not sure why so many people are keen on Smith on this thread. What does he upgrade for us? Why would we consider using up a first round pick for him when he isn't required? We should only be looking at a KPF and that's it if we decide to trade this period.
Wouldn’t mind the club giving the fans a revised update.

because unlike castagna devon smith is a great kick of the ball and has lovely skills he can also rotate through the gutsI'm not sure why so many people are keen on Smith on this thread. With Schache you at least get someone who as rated very highly initially.
Seriously whats the difference between trading one of those picks for Schache or using it on an untried draftee?
He lacks team effort,, he wants to do it all himselfbecause unlike castagna devon smith is a great kick of the ball and has lovely skills he can also rotate through the guts
