why take the risk of drafting a spud?
So we should trade for a spud instead? The risk is lower going to the draft

is it? how so?
Reckon we wouldn’t do our DD on a draft prospect? These kids are tested within an inch of their lives. Much more of a known quantity
Whilst I agree to a certain point.... our window is of course right now. We need to add ready made talent or players (IF Schache somehow meets this mould).Wouldn’t be touching this trade with a 10 foot barge pole. We don’t need to take the risk. Should be going to the draft and using our picks
how can you know much more about a player that has never played afl than one who has?
And to calm the media scrutiny that he clearly wasn't enjoying.Who said he decided he wanted to stay? The singing of the contract could've just been so Brisbane had more leverage on the trade table.

We don't have 3-4 years to wait for a risky KPP we potentially select in the upcoming draft to develop, given they are genuine quality, which as stated, are a huge risk as well.......
If I was RFC, I'd be putting #17 on the table to Brisbane for Schache, saying 'think about it', and slipping out of the room..... then go and work on other business.
Well I’d probably take notice of the big red flag of another AFL club trying to get rid of their player
Things are turning sour at the Suns.
Not even Geelong scraps want to head north as part of the Ablett deal.
How would you feel if were Captain of a club that no one wants to play at.
Maybe ask jack ziebell ?
Pretty sure its who he snagged during celebrations at the afterpartyIs that whose mrs. it is?

When did I say he was pressured? Its very possible he wanted to move back to Victoria but also wanted to help out Brisbane, so he signed with them so they would have more trade leverage. A way to help Brisbane instead of screwing them if he then decided to leave. So, he was pressured into signing?
AFL will have a field day.
He's not what we need ... the kid is timid.
Who knows why we said no. That was said while we were still playing finals and when it was said he was staying. Things have changed since then. We’ve interviewed him and said no. Is that not enough? Based on your criteria we should take on a player who has issues because we know about them? Despite him being in the system for two years he is a completely unknown quantity. Plus another AFL club wants him gone. I’d take a draft pick over that any day of the week
Yeah I would also be going all out for Lynch now, as in this year. Richmond just won a Premiership and still have the likes of Cotchin, Martin and Rance at a high point of their careers.I'd be going all in for Lynch now, Avoid a bidding war with other clubs which will likely equal martin, maybe more
