i take it you didnt read the full quote which is suprising given your level of attention.

would you like me to re-quote it with the bit about its "not really my preference" bolded?

i was simply pointing out that brown has likely the most trade value for us if we were to toally ignore the consequences.

Trading Brown is so preposterous as to not be worthy of contribution.

I hope the mods learn from this year and open two draft threads next season. One for the sensible comments and one for the way out stuff. The way out trade thread can have all the "let's pay a million bucks for pick 25, "Tarrant trade hypothetical", "let's trade Brown" stuff.

This is suggested every year. We tried it from memory a year or two ago. It didn't really work.

a defender that will bring virtually no value now we have VW, Nielson, marley and MCKay..
know of any midfielders we can go for???
He plays nothing like Vickers Wilson or Marley Williams. I'm not sure why they're mentioned. Nielson and Mckay are both speculative also, whereas I see Sam Collins as at least proven that he can do the job on some of the best forwards in the comp. Also no, I don't know of any midfielders that want out of their club that are on the market, if I did, I'd advocate for getting them also. But if Collins was available for our 3rd round pick I'd love to look at that.

why would you, when you can elevate a rookie ? also we have at least 3-5 blokes with only next year to run on their contracts. Thompson, Waithe, Jed, Swallow, Jacobs.

Think Swallow could be gone this year. Jed, Jacobs, Wright is see how they go next year. Could need up to 5 picks in next years draft.

It's a pity.

It's an important thread and the only topic of interest at this time of year.

that i knew was a given :)

but i stand by the statement and i dont mind playing the devils advocate. we really dont have much stock to generate good picks as disappointing as it is.

so we go to the draft and have a crack at getting some midfield depth/flair, IMO we have plenty of defensive/Fwd stocks to go forward the next couple of years, start looking for a few replacements in these areas in 2019/2020.

I fell like North are like that kid at school that no one wanted to pick to be in there team and they turn out to be one of the best . These players from other clubs that don't want to come to us for reasons unknown GAGF .. You'll regret it ..:D:rolleyes:

The reason why is our perception in the media, they are always hounding us whether it's about crowd sizes or having no depth in our list. Absolute BS

so your a Mod Now? would be pretty handy you could have suspended yourself the other day.

If I was a mod you would know it, because 30% of the stuff in this thread that constitutes pure shite would have been deleted or moved to a dedicated tin foil hat thread..

Joyce advised our midfield is the priority earlier on in trade period. Well that didn't work so i'd throw a late first rounder/second rounder to land Schache
Midfield is the priority for list changes, through the trading/FA/draft periods, given what we already have on our list and the quality of players in each area. Nowhere near time to drop a sensible strategy.

Trouble is, the people who post silly stuff believe it is worth discussing in the prime news thread.

like the posts about Dumont being a hack?

Comments on a single player out of a list of 44, are neither here nor there, BECAUSE I DON'T UTILISE THE ONLY THREAD CURRENTLY WORTH READING TO MAKE A POINT ABOUT IT!.
