One was good. Two was boarder line and three was no thank you.
Number two is my fav lol
I'm with you matt

2 was my fave.

It's just a wonderfully put together film, had a bit of depth. Great mutual respect teacher and daniel San.

1 perfect teens and family movie.

Now I'm going to sand da floor, and paint da fence.

Up down, side side.

Breath.

Always breath, important to breath....

How can people put Moore in the backline? Reid and Cox would be the slowest forward line in the comp and both offer nothing once the ball hits the ground. Reid is nearly cooked IMO.

Most are putting Moore in the backline because the club has flagged it for 2018. If either Reid or Cox disappoint then Moore may play forward again sooner rather than later. If we have the luxury of playing Moore in defence for the bulk of the year then it probably means we’re going ok

It's hard to imagine they won't disappoint. Collingwood have been poor at retaining the ball inside 50 and so to play Reid and Cox in the same forward line is just silly. Moore is at least agile and can influence the contest if the ball hits the ground, he seems a waste in the backline.

truth is Cox is quick for a big man. 3.0 sec 20m. its one of his advantages. if he can lead to advantage with his speed and heaght he becomes an impossibility for his opponent to best. He is already a contested mark beast at VFL level and his numbers are already very good in the AFL. Improve a bit more and he will be the no 1 contested mark in the comp.

I actually think Fasolo needs a big preseason and to show a more consistent defensive side to his game if he is going to be best 22.

Think someone will need to be playing some pretty good footy to get past Faz and into the 22. If a Kirby or Stephensen can do that, so be it.

Yeah I agree. My query with him is he and Elliott weren’t good at the defensive side this year and I’m not sure we’ll carry two in the forward line not applying pressure when it was identified as an issue this year.

If Elliott gets back to his best on the pressure side and Fas is kicking goals then he’ll be fine but if he or Elliott are off I think he’s the one in danger.

Assuming Elliott can string together some decent footy and shake off the injuries! Fingers crossed

They play 23-per-side in the VFL, so perfect numbers, really!!

23rd player is an unlisted development player from the TAC or similar though.

B: Langdon - Dunn - Murray
HB: Howe - Reid - Crisp

C: Phillips - Adams - WHE
R: Grundy - Pendles - Treloar

HF: DeGoey - Moore - Sidebottom
F: Fasolo - Cox - Elliot

INT: Maynard, Wells, Varcoe, Goldsack

EMG: Stephenson, Murphy, Greenwood, Wills

It looks pretty good on paper. Stephenson and Murphy for spells.

Swap Scharenberg for Phillips and I think you've nailed it. I think how Murray, Stephenson and Murphy emerge in 2018, along with Kirby, Daicos and C Brown, will be the most interesting aspect of 2018.

I think people are reading too much into a "trialled in the JLT" comment.

Yes, there is that of course! I did point out in another post that I was only having a bit of fun with that, but I'd happily settle for having even 44 of 45 players available (at the same time) and playing at some level for at least a few weeks next season!!

Sitting back and looking at the make up of the list and age of it. Its actually pretty solid. If we can add a topline kpp next trade period its a very solid list.

He is a battler, nothing wrong with that, he has stopped quite a few pretty good players and turned games because of it.
You can't play Greenwood and Crisp together in the midfield because the two together are too slow to keep up with the opposition. To solve this Greenwood went down forward while Crisp stayed in the middle. That didn't work. Then Crisp went down back. Greenwood I think got injured. Sidebottom went into the middle. Pendlebury was injured. That's when we started to string a few wins together. No need to bring to bring Crisp back into the middle. That move worked brilliantly. Greenwood can still offer us a few good games in the middle, primarily as a tagger, but I don't believe he can play anywhere else, whereas all the others can be moved around.

Don't see us using Daicos, Brown or Kirby much this year. Would still have Phillips in the team ahead of Scharenberg, who has a lot to prove but hopefully vindicates his early pick.

Disagree. Crisp was best in the middle without Greenwood who was good forward or when tagging. When Crisp was part of the rotation we were one of the top teams for centre extractions.

I don't think Crisp is much chop in defence but is hard to get in the middle atm.

Of last years draftees, I think Daicos and Kirby will be the 2 difference makers. I think they'll both get opportunities, onus is then on them to make the most of them.

Top ends kids

2016 draft alone.

Ben Ainsworth pick 4.
Will Settlefield pick 5.
Jack Scrimshaw pick 7.
Griffen Logue pick 8.
Wil Brodie pick 9.
Jack Bowes pick 10.

How many games? In fact go through the whole draft. Most weee lucky to play more than 11. Half a season.

I'm not going to argue the point with you. We simply have a different view on this.

My view
In modern day football, many top end draft picks come in and play straight away - that's my point.
I then supplied 10 players in a 2 year period that validates that.

Your view
First year players struggle to make an impact and play regular football.
You then provided some names to qualify your point.

I could add more players if you like, but what's the point? I'm not here to change your opinion.

I will add two comments on the list of players you provided:
  • Ainsworth and Bowes both played in Rd1 and played most games when injury free.
  • Logue first played in Rd2.
