How did you guys miss this doozy from the port board?
Port Moderator said:
Let's be honest and face up that Port sanfl is the Port AFL reserves side. Let them wear the silver V guernsey.

The side we put out on the Norwood paddock was a mockery of everything Port Adelaide stands for. Snowy Frampton and the 20 dwarves.

I despair to think what club greats like Ebert, Hodges, Phillips, Ginever, Cahill etc would make of what is being served up in the proudest guernsey in Australian sport. Matty Lokan must be tearing out his fragile hair and wondering what he let himself in for.

Break out the prison bars for special AFL events. Bring it out on the biggest stage with the first team where we chose to propel our club.

But don't keep embarrassing one of Australian sports proudest traditions by fielding a side that is hobbled by AFL drafting and directions and sanfl rules.

Is that the first time they've ever admitted the bleeding obvious? They were two separate clubs, and now.one is a reserves team. Not rocket science.

A lot to like about this latest Squiggle. Port missing the 8, Melbourne missing the 8, Carlton getting the spoon....only bad thing is having to play the Hawks at the G in a final.
I doubt there will be 1 game covering 2nd to 9th, or that the tigers will have a 4 game gap to 2nd... or how are Carlton winning 4 games.

I got slammed on the Ladder Prediction thread for saying Brisbane would win 2 games.
Brisbane are the most likely to win 4 games, they could've won last night and could've beaten GC and Port.

The other 2 are awful

Wouldn’t right then off from getting 4 wins.
It always looks like a shitty side won't win a game but they always snag a few. As a footy fan I would be fascinated to see a side go through a season totally undefeated and see a side go winless. Did either of these happen in the ancient VFL days (e.g. Collingwood in the 1920s?)

St Kilda in the 1890s I think

From the AFL news app;

“ADELAIDE forward Mitch McGovern says the footy world shouldn't be jumping to the conclusion older brother Jeremy will be leaving West Coast after the Eagle put off contract talks until the end of the season.
And Mitch endorsed his brother's decision after he did the same thing last year, focusing on his football before re-signing with the Crows.
Restricted free agent Jeremy will have interest from several Victorian clubs eager to snare the 26-year-old All Australian defender.

"Smart man, I did it last year," Mitch told AFL.com.au.

"Just put it on the backburner, focus on your footy, and he's playing some really good footy right now.

"Let people behind the scenes deal with it and you show what you're made of.

"It's a better way to do it.

"It shows it's not a distraction for him or the footy club because they (the Eagles) are flying as well.

"There's a lot of loyal players out there and anything can happen, so you shouldn't be jumping to conclusions at all."

Mitch, 23, was courted by Fremantle but the exciting forward put pen to paper on a three-year extension with the Crows until the end of 2020.

He cheekily said he would love to make it a McGovern double act at West Lakes.

"It would be very nice to play with him," Mitch said.

"I've been in his ear, but I'm not too sure what he's going to do."

Very long shot... but you never know!.. keep getting in big bro’s ear shooter...

Also Squiggle is just a nice attack and defence visualisation tool. Its value as a premier predictor came to a dramatic end first in 2016 when it tipped the Swans easily in the GF, and last year when it tipped us easily in the GF. Its creator, an overjoyed Richmond supporter, immediately decided to retire from Bigfooty.

A lot of the games are also shitehouse. We are one of the shining lights and that's why most of our games this year are primetime night games.
Adelaide involved in 3 of the top 5 ratings games so far this season, the AFL needs to stop being so obsessed with "Equalisation" and give teams that rate well on tv the right to play on prime time. As much as clubs like the dogs, saints can whinge they just don't rate at all and are irrelevant.
