It's what keeps the forum interesting.

I don't mind when people like you or MG or Trav come on and state things up front.
There are always some things that change.
It's the others who come on with obtuse hints, and cryptic posts that is annoying.
What do you guys get from imparting the whispers apart from ridicule? That's why I trust you, Trav and MG when you state what you have heard, as your heart is in it for the Saints fans.

Putting the foot down would be not throwing in anything with pick 4. Trading 4 for 8 & 13 isn't a good idea for starters... adding something to it is just dumb.

Nah as other posters said, He's being traded to play WAFL and 39 sounds pretty decent in that context. He's definitely third ruck at the Eagles but is a good trade-in for them - he's very much AFL standard on his good days and Nic Nat has missed 1/3 of the last two seasons so they need cover.

Other posters are full of shit, he won't be their third ruck, he'll definitely be playing AFL and will be their #1 ruckmen as Nic Nat will be out nearly all year, Vardy is very average.

if we can swap pick 39 out right for hanners then we are doing alright.

sadly i dont think that will be it. it will be next years 2nd for hanners. which makes the tom hickey trade in and trade absolute junk.

I still maintain that the Tom Lee deal was perfectly acceptable at the time.

Tom Lee was talked up as going in the mid-late first round of that draft. Kevin Sheahan (AFL Talent manager) said he would have taken him as high as pick 11 at Carlton.

Lee played solid football under Scotty Watters but was clearly on the wrong side for Richo's style and it didnt work out. If we had drafted better with those other picks, and developed Lee correctly, we would be looking great ATM.

The Hickey deal is gross though. Nobody saw Grundy sliding that far (and we would probably have ruined his development) but he was there if we needed a younger ruck option.
