I can see you are disappointed and thats fair but im just relaying what the club think of the guy.

They think a first year 201cm ruck/forward in Xerri is better than him long term
They may also have taken the view that Preuss was blocking Xerri's development in the VFL while at the same time they clearly want another couple of years out of Goldy. Preuss kind of stuck in the middle and not happy about it. We had no need to consider playing Goldy and Pruess because I think Maj is just about the best pinch-hitting ruckman going around.

Waite is irreplaceable. Unless the replacement was Jarrad Waite.
Tough to replace a moblie 194cm key forward with a massive leap, great hands and pretty good goal kicking. larkey will be a very different kind of player but could develop into a contested marking beast from what I saw of him in the VFL. Would like to see him get a minimum of 8 senior games in 2019.

I agree with those saying Tyson is better than he's being given credit for. A former no. 3 pick, 25ish year old 100 gamer who will be a quality individual and a regular, and who we traded in for a VFL ruckman and pick 61ish.
I loved the melts on pick 61. For the record the last 10 pick 61s have been:

Dom Barry
Tom Williamson
Shane Yarran
Harris Andrews (Academy)
Jamie Bennell
Taylor Hine
Alex Brown
Kirk Ugle
Jesse Stringer
Campbell Heath

Surely nobody really believes we would trade away a pick which would cost us Hall or Scott?

I think we have done well so far
The glaring issue I see right now is the lack of a back up ruck and a goal kicking small forward
Why not take a punt on jake neade from port adelaide or even Lonie from St kilda

Let's try and get zac Clarke or worst case ceglar

Let's get the hall deal done ASAP and focus on a back up ruck and trading up in the draft

His movement and poise in traffic gives him extra speed. Ball use in conjunction with that makes him a “fast” player
So by the technical definition, yes people are overrating his speed. What you defined, is not a fast player. I love Ahern, just think people saying he's a fast player on the outside are being a little bit optimistic.

Brown can replace Waitey. Has a huge tank and is an even better mark.

Yep, isn't quick and will never be quick.

However, in a side without speed deficiencies he becomes a much more potent offensive weapon.

I think LDU coming on much slower than expected this year made us look at inside options. Gaff can play a little inside and that would cover it but when he left, I think we couldn't take the chance.

GWS would have by the sounds of it. Maybe even overs.
Has Scully nominated Hawthorn and Hawthorn only?
How all these players get to their destination and we couldnt even bring over a BFNAAK

**** off Connors

Jesus christ North, get all over this. Minimum trade requirements (trade them a pick for next year) and bring in a guy who brings plenty of pace into our team!
We arnt getting Scully. Joyce's blew his wad on Tyson. We cant have 20 mids on the park.
