NCAA 2019/20 NCAA - Bowl Season [Dec 21 - Jan 14]

They stitched up Georgia last year in the sugar bowl. Massively dissapointing season - especially after they took LSU to the limits in week 2.

They had them 3 & 17 with a few mins to go and down by 6 - beautifully set up for a game winning drive..... Then Burrows hits a side arm throw under pressure which gets taken to the end zone and makes it a 2 score lead.

Sliding doors moment for both programs

Some teams are not really there to play the games.

Utah got punched in the face early and kinda folded. Texas are a momentum side and just had moments this year when it went against them and couldnt get it back.

There is no better location for football than the Rose Bowl. Still blows my mind the NFL went to the armpit that is Levi's stadium for Superbowl 50

OMG... if that game had've been at the Rose Bowl
Stupid decision made by the NFL. even this year for the NFL's 100th year should of been at the Rose Bowl.

Its better than the same few stadiums every year. how many times has it been in Tampa, Miami, Arizona or New Orleans.

maybe theres some contractual reason for it

or because the city didnt throw cash at the NFL to bid to hold the Super Bowl like the others. the NFL could of still gone the Rose Bowl and asked. who cares if they dont get the same amount of money. it would of been about the celebration of 100years [or 50 super bowls].

What are the amenities like? And corporate suites?

I feel like those sorts of things are becoming more and more important to the NFL and the sort of people that actually get to go to the SB now

it shouldnt be about corporate suites. but they are on the sidelines where the press boxes are. They renovated it about 5 years ago
But the Rose bowl offered to house the Rams while the LA stadium was being built.

The stadium is bench seating with very little leg room. The lines for the toilets were as long as any I have come across in a stadium. It is very old and outdated and just doesn't stack up next to the new modern stadiums.

In saying that it has character that most modern stadiums just don't have.

it would of been one game. people could put up with that. It would of been better than people cooking in the sun at Levi's.

I'm thinking it would be like the AFL hosting a GF at Waverley Park in 2020 (without any major renovations) with it's old hard wood bench seats.

i doubt people would care that much. and those that would would be in private boxes.

You dont hear much crying about it for the Rose Bowl or CFB playoffs/Championship games

When the cheapest face value ticket starts at nearly US$1000 the NFL fan expects more than this stadium can offer.

As for people cooking in the sun at Levi's, the game was played in February and most outdoor stadiums with lack of shade have issues in August and September due to heat.
