Erm no, he wasn't? Infact I believe the words used by the gay couple themselves in regards to how he treated them were "an absolute gentleman".

"The prosecution said a fractured eye socket and a broken tooth was the result of being punched to the floor by Stokes. It was a blow allegedly witnessed by off-duty police officer Mark Spure who said he rushed over to help Ali who was unable to move and left with blood pouring down his face.
Corsellis told the court: “The violence that erupted could actually have stopped very quickly and it would have remained a relatively minor incident. But during the incident Mr Stokes lost his control and started to attack with revenge, retaliation or punishment in mind. He knocked Mr Hale unconscious and then, enough time to pause for thought, did the same for Mr Ali.”

Yea.. but BUT STUVE SMITH KNEW SOMEONE RUBBED A BALL WITH PAPER

Way worse than smashing a guys face in outside a pub... fools.

The worst part of the Ashes every series is without doubt both sets of fans trying to fight for the morale high ground (I am guilty of this myself). Maybe we just agree we're all hypocritical idiots who follow a sport played by fallible human beings and concentrate on a test match in the balance right now?

He's -102 runs for the series and has looked s**thouse. There's nothing to suggest he will improve, and it's not very difficult for someone to do any worse if they're capable of fielding lmao

He shouldn't be at slip, but there aren't many great fielders...I mean Khawaja's woeful fielding is somehow put at gully/point when he's flat out catching dollys. Warner will improve.

Credit to our English supporting posters though, having a massive whinge about all and sundry instead of discussing anything to do with the match they've got a chance at winning to go 1-1 in the Ashes (inb4 "bUt aUsSies weRe wHiNginG tOo")

Umm, was just responding to a whingeing poster getting stuck into Stokes... It seemed to get everyone upset as they know Australia can’t win and are angry

I'd agree in the most part, just doesn't sit comfortable with me, people comparing the Smith and Stokes incidents. Unfortunately the Stokes incident is to close to home for me.

What do you think about that? Worse than what Smith did and by how much?

As I said, inb4 "bUt aUsSies weRe wHiNginG tOo", obviously when a team is losing you'll get folks going off the deep end, your side is gaining the advantage over the series and every one of your supporters in this thread are whinging about extraneous stuff and stirring the pot.
