Lyon been terribly disappointing since the first test.

Just wont bowl the right line.

Only bowled a couple further out side got a wicket with one and the other went trough everything, yet he persists bowling to straight.

He is not doing his part to hold up his end and Paine has given him way to many over to bowl his crap.

I've always thought that the ball-tracking with 340fps was not enough haha increase it to a couple of thousand fps, imho. would be an expensive endeavour but would easily solve problems like this.

This is indeed a massive problem. The maths shows it can travel 5-10cms in between frames when a fast bowler is bowling.
Also of a concern is the fact that the ICC nor the company will ever confirm any exact specifics of the technology.
But the killer detail is that a university study questioned both crickets and tennis’ Hawkeye accuracy due to the relatively low frame rates, and requested to directly test the technology against actual deliveries (ie pausing them mid travel and ensuring the outcome matched the prediction), but this access to the technology was refused by ICC and all.

The incriminating thing to me is that in tennis, where the actual event does happen as opposed to lbw shouts, they will NEVER show a slow mon close up of the impact with the court after a Hawkeye decision. They use to all the time, but now they literally never do.
This insures the integrity of the system- by never contradicting it.


Edit: and again just then we see it with lasagna. I don’t agree with the height it predicted the ball to go over the stumps. No wheren near it. But of course we don’t get the side on view now that we’ve been show Hawkeye.
Remember how they use to rush to the side on shot after every lbw shout, out or not? Not any more. They will if it’s a good ball, but as soon as Hawkeye is used, nope. No side on allowed.

Never said dump "all" these guys. I was referring to Lyon who has had 3 decent innings of bowling in this series. The rest has been rubbish. Doesn't look threatening at all ona pitch thats turning quite a lot. Overton is playing him with ease.
