Will we do one of those trade back things Sydney and Eagles did? Is that why it took so long for approval?
Some suggestion that the delay was partially checking if what we were doing is within the rules. So assume we were trying some sort of 3 way trade

Brisbane has finally matched the bid for Coleman after trading with Sydney.

Brisbane swapped No.38 and a future third round pick for picks 47, 59 and a future third round pick. it allowed them match with later picks.

From the AFL draft tracker. Good trading, after using resources to get first cab tonite. Apart from the fact he is good enough for the big league - IMO - this pick had to be made for the family, Academy and Queenslander point of view.

Not sure we've ever had so much indigenous talent list at one time (currently 6) Christensen, Cameron, Cox, Coleman Ah Chee and Ellis-Yolman.

Very pleasing.

All we were waiting for was for them all to have at least one initial of "C".

“He’s the best young leader I’ve seen in my time since Jack Viney and the cleanest inside midfielder in the draft,” Ablett said.

“Fantastic selection by the Lions. They’ve certainly got one out of the box there. He’s going to be a future leader at AFL level.”
