The problem wasn't Sydney bidding on Green, nor Melbourne. It was us. We bid on Green at 4 and their pick 6 is eaten up and all they walk away with is Green and a late pick or 2. They wanted another top end pick to go with Green from this draft.

GWS have done well .....should pickup 2 x top 10 picks

By NOT doing the deal with Adel ....they would have ended up with 1xtop ten pick (Green) and pick 16,17, or 18 next season ....big diff

I think it's Flanders (confirmed), Ash, Young and probably Serong. They have been the ones for most of the ytea talked about as the top picks.

So I think it will be Flanders or Young, depending on who Sydney go for

So it's a pointless exercise when only one player of the two had that opportunity and the other didn't.

If it was such a big factor for the player to have played "senior" football in their draft year why doesn't a SA or WA or for that matter Tasmanian take home the Rising Star Award year after year?

How is he not invited to the draft?

The AFL only invited 16 this year instead of 25 last year to ensure they get the top 10 there. They hated the look of having the likes of Hill and Valente not chosen in first round last year in front of all the cameras.

Hamish has all but confirmed Jackson is going to the Dees from the 5aa interview. Mentioned he would be gone by our pick. So Rowell Anderson Jackson Ash Flanders seems to be the consensus for top 5. Although Hamish isnt sure on the Swans. Young is the interesting one for me. Was touted top 3 but now may slip. Will be interesting if we pass on him.
