yeah but why would he sign that if he did. Clubs cant sign the contract for them?

Guaranteed cash mate. If he gets his wish and is traded his contract needs to be covered.

Perhaps the offer be signed at the time was higher than what he could of received anywhere else.

Ie- secure your financial future and circumstances for people can always change but either way you have the cash locked away.

Got a feeling the mid is gaff due to eagles needing another first rounder to please geeLong as they have knocked back 14 and 23 also the bloke is a deadset gun that can play inside/out and a very good replacement for smith if he decides to go. Also wouldn’t be a hard deal to get done.

- Was my thinking last wk as well, the stories of Gaff wanting to go to victoria last yr and again this yr.
-Kelly going to w.c.e they need first rd picks.

But why wouldn't they trade him to Geelong perhaps he doesn't wanna live in Geelong

Spot on. Mate, if gaff leaves its to Victoria. His manager said he has no interest in Geelong

Elliott Yeo anyone??

Young 'elite' talent from an interstate club who is possibly expendable and shouldn't cost as a player as well as a first round pick?
A player like Callum Mills comes to mind. Not elite but highly regarded and still young. Wants to play midfield more regularly. Could excel at Hawthorn like Mitchell did when he left the Swans.
Sydney could want a player like him off the books to help pay Daniher and whichever billionaire they set their eyes on next.

Potential future captain, zero chance.

not a fan of playing jack as a key forward. Gone are the days when we can rely on Gunston/Breust to kick 80-100 goals in a deep finals push. Need the next generation to step up and take the load. Breust may be able to kick 40+ a few more times if we can get him some small forward support, but not sure that'll happen.

We need TOB to build into a 50 goal forward, Jack will not be the CHF in our next premiership.

Gunston has kicked over 50 goals four times in his career, and had a season of 46 as well. O'Brien hasn't even kicked 50 career goals yet.

They are the same height and only two years apart in age. Neither are true CHF's.

The very best case, dream, scenario is that O'Brien develops into a player as good as Gunston. Luckily we already have a player as good as Gunston on the list.

I just spoke to a mate who coaches in the NAB and Vic M.. said interest is very real for a top 10 pick for Finn, whilst that’s not a guarantee it’s obvious his stocks on the rise.

Not sure what the point of him attending the combine was, surely the club park that on his behalf? Crazy stuff imo
Maybe we don't rate him
