What a player he will be also in the Eagles lineup.

Its an interesting move that the Cats made when you consider the way they treated the AFC re Danger.

Danger was always worth two 1sts rounders - single digits.

They treated us exactly how any party should treat another in a trade negotiation. It's not their fault we always fold like a deck of cards.

That club almost has no shame when it comes to self-entitlement.

Before the season Scott justified not trading Kelly by arguing that the club had to look after it's own interests and claimed the club made the right decision by not trading him.

Funny that when the shoe is on the other foot the narrative from them is completely different.

Of course the club made the right decision. They were looking after their own interests and now they are the premiership favorite. We are just so used to seeing our guys fold so we expect it in other clubs. I don't see the problem.

This! Exactly this! When we had 8 out of ten B&Fs out, it was a lack of depth causing the losses. Tigers can eat **** and die.

It's clear that Richmond were given a massive gift from the AFL by the way of the 2017 GF. If the competition was truly national, truly even they would not have progressed further than the Prelim final. Unfortunately, Geelong and especially us were the losers of this tainted premiership.

Kelly was still contracted, Dangerfield wasn't and was a FA, not even you could have gotten us 2 1st rounders.

Richmond were the better team last year in 2018, in 2017 they were the better team in the finals and flags are won in the finals. Similarly, we were the better team in 2017 but like Richmond did in 2018, the better team all year doesn't always win the premiership.

Were Richmond the better team during finals in 2017? If the competition truly was equitable.

Week 1: Geelong in Geelong
Week 2: GWS at the MCG
Week 3: Adelaide at AO

Instead:

Week 1: MCG
Week 2: MCG
GF: MCG

Would they still have been the better team do you think?

Take it up with the AFL and MCG head honcho?

Premiership race down to 4 in my opinion

Geelong
West coast
Collingwood
Gws

My tip is the team with the least attention and that will be Gws depending on it they are 100% fit this time come september unlike previous finals series.

The pre season draft was always an option. The fact both us and Geelong spoke of Gore as somehow equitable compensation in the deal shows how desperate we both were to portray the deal as even remotely a win for both clubs.

FWIW the danger trade prolly contributed to the push to be able to trade the next years picks, which we are doing very well out of!

30 seconds before the Brisbane vs Carlton match, I selected the Blues. Lucky I came to my senses and quickly swapped back to the Lions.

So much for a new coach surge.

i thought about tipping Carlton for that reason, but glad i didn't in the end

We wouldn't have gotten Milera then.
I'll put my house on it that if we said at the outset 2 x 1st round draft picks or PS draft Geelong would have found that 2nd pick. What would you have done- missed out on a once in a generation midfielder just yo keep pick 7 or 8. We managed to find a 2nd 1st rounder to get Gibbs. It really wasnt that hard.

We only did the Gibbs trade because of the swap of 2nd rounders with Carlton which meant there was a chance of it being only one 1st rounder was traded for Gibbs if Carlton finished last (which they did).
Dangerfield was leaving to go back home to Geelong, I am sure they would have manufacture something in the PS for him to do this being a FA.

Umpires crucifying Brisbane against a “big Vic club”. Commentators well and truly on board. Some thing just don’t change.
