Like the Zorko idea but he gets tagged too much, and Hanners hasn’t been the same since Ruffy ragged dolled him in the 14 GF.. (or that incident in the 16) .. I like to think both anyway.
Still brings a smile to my face. Remember it like it was yesterday. Poor, soft Hanners:)

Mumford out for first 3 games for suspension and has had a hamstring strain.
What if Clarke doesn't get picked?
Didn't know that, plan b, I don't want to pay 700,000 as he's had a slightly interrupted pre season.

Don't like Andrews Blak

Dont like Andrews, Blakely or Roberton, they won't get big scores.Don't like Yeo as a mid, he wont be top 8 at end of year.

Depends on Blakeley's role. If he is playing midfield he is definitely capable of big scores.
10 game stretch in 2017 when playing in the midfield: 100,108, 103, 130, 98, 74, 115, 129, 121, 119

Andrews has a lower ceiling but scores in the 90's consistently and has had a few games 115+ last year including a 152 point game mid season just before he got injured.

Not expecting Roberton to get big scores - if he can score 75 - 105 every week and average close to 90 will be a good pick.
- Not certain I'll keep him in though. Depends how he goes JLT.

Yeo was the 12th ranked midfielder by average and 7th ranked midfielder by total score last year
From those above him Danger is available as a forward, Tom Mitchell is gone for the year.
Think he has a decent chance of top 8.

Thanks for your feedback - don't really agree with much of it though.

Gone pretty deep in the midfield, hoping some big scores early on can put me in a good position for the rest of the season. Whitfield has been locked in since the end of last season but made his way out due the talk of Hopper and Taranto taking the mid time that he really needs to be improving on his average.

Not many peoppe picking Tim Kelly, a bona fide midfielder avail in the forward line.

Conservatively 11-12 keepers
Possibly 13-14
6 onfield rookies.

Maybe swap Gresham > BCrouch if he is playing well in JLT.

Yoiu answered the question I think .....but I was going to ask why you had DPP Heeney in the midfield ?? ......I would have thought there were better & safer $429K midfield options than Gresham ?

I and many others had Dusty last year .....he was downright Lazy thru the year & did what he wanted, when he wanted .....I know the price is great, but do we think he'll bounce back after his "Contract" year .....he has his 5 year contract now

Which brings us to player selections, that should be influenced by whether this is their Contract Year?

Maybe we should compile a list

Wary of 2nd year players ....who are at the club, only because of a contract obligation

Not many better mids

Miles - we've had that conversation, B Crouch, Viney if I can find an extra 20k all possible options

Downright lazy enough to be the #1 score involvement player in the comp?
25 touches and a goal a game, most inside 50s in the comp = lazy?

Had to make a change with Blakely going down. Also restructured from 3,5,2,4 to 4,5,2,3. I feel the new kicking in rule will be more beneficial.

Currently considering both Witherden and Andrews but more than likely I'll change 1 to Z.Williams and change the beams selection.

I have $280K to spend and am not sure which line to add to. Not enough extra cash to bring in an extra premo but might be worth upgrading a couple of the midpricers or potential premos. Also depends on rookies and whether extra is needed to get decent on field playing rookies for Round 1.

- like Neale as a consistent scorer, not sure who to upgrade (could swap steele + libba + 280k > JOM + neale)
- not sure on Steele but think there is good value around the $500 - $550 mark for someone to step up to 115+
- not sold on wingard, considering dunkley as well

Like the Neale and Beams picks.
If you're basing defender selections on new kick in rules you should know only Witherden is likely to benefit. Whitfield will mostly play mid leaving Shaw and Williams to kick in. Luke Brown was the main kicker last year and Smith will also take it on. There's an article at AFL. Com on who kicks in at each club.
Anyway nice team with 14 possible keepers. I'd try and get Grundy tho.
