If the rumors are correct about the Crows going full rebuild mode this off season I can definitely see us being in the mix for a player from there with the David Noble and Charlie Cameron connections. Maybe the Crouch's don't want to go through a rebuild and would like to go to a club in their "window".

Who would you say has the better disposal? Matt is also a little younger so he may be the one to go after if we are going to go after another near Neale/Cameron level talent this off season.

Believe crouch has been more durable and allows us to nurture Zorko into his older years, would happily give up a combination of our top picks for brodie smith and Matt crouch

Good to see that it is fair to bag that s**t out of Cutler at any turn, but the moment anyone mentions Rayner, 90% of this board has a sook and defends him.
Good to see you’re as precious as always Dylan. Why don’t you and your mates post the same stuff about Rayner again and again week after week. It’s never tiresome

It wasn't bagging Cutler, it was bagging the idea of him being worth a substantial trade return. The worst of the two comments on Cutler specifically, as opposed to his trade value, call him a fringe player.

Players like Taylor, Matho, N Robbo, Cutler, Lester, Walker, Basti, Keays, Alison, Cox, Hinge , Starc, A Smith all got senior games last few years and fringe players at the moment.

Cutler who in the right team could do well

Hey guys, sorry to intrude but just wondering what the go with Nick Robertson? Has he been injured this year ? Or just not a spot for him in your midfield?

Lions asking for special permission to keep eagles as a Catagory B rookie 🤔

Can't see any reason why the commission wouldn't grant that request, not many reality TV stars on AFL lists. Matty seems like a fantastic bloke and great for the chemistry of our list.

Was injured I think in the off season and so was a little delayed start to the year. Came in for a few games and did some decent shut down roles in the back line but didnt set the world on fire. Then had Answerth and Bailey come in and play really well from the get go and not drop their spots. Has been one of those players a bit unlucky with our injury run that he hasnt had chances in the 1sts.

Still one of the best trainers and runners at the club

Nick just can't get a go in the seniors, played 3-4 games earlier in the year, Noah Answerth has taken his spot.

Our injury list this season has been extraordinarily short, in most years Nick would have been playing a fair bit of seniors, OOC so he could look to move on.

Straight swap for your own Jarrod Cameron would seem fair?? :D

Unlike you who is so precious about anything said about Rayner. How bout you make some more comments about the deaths of sisters and mothers.

Like the look of him! Don’t know about swapping Cameron for him though haha
West Aussie boy, out of the team and contract (is he not?) can’t cost too much surely 😜

I love Robbo. Would get a game in most teams, and with another 50 games could become a great player. Wouldn't cost you much more than pick ~40 I wouldn't think.

You can probably get Robertson for really cheap, no doubt we will attempt to get the best we can for him but we wouldn’t stop him moving. Thinking we will ask for late third early fourth but can see us accepting a 5th if multiple clubs aren’t chasing him

I'd hate it, but couldn't blame Nick Robbo if he left. He's been a true clubman, but unfortunately he doesn't seem to be in Fages' plans.

This isn't criticism, but I find it interesting how different players are in the plans of one coach, but not another. Nick never set the world alight, but about 2 seasons back he was regularly one of our bests. Hit a poor patch of form and struggled to make it back into the team. If he can rediscover some good form, he'd make the 22 in probably every team in the comp. Unfortunately, at this stage, it doesn't seem like he can get there in the current side.

As much as anything, I don't think he was ever really played in a proper position. Regularly in the back line, but was recruited as a mid. Seems like he was shoved back there for needs as much as anything, and was never really trained properly in his midfield craft, except to do a run-with role.

I'd say the trade comparison would be closer to Josh Walker than others in terms of value. 3rd-4th rounder. Terrible shame - always a favourite of mine (see my profile pic).

You’re tiresome, I’m hardly precious about Rayner with my issue being the 2-3 posters who carry on with the same shit week after week.

I don’t really see it as him not being in Fagan’s plans, more that he has moved behind others in the pecking order?
And IMO for good reason, Answerth is a much more composed player and his body positioning in contests for a first year player is amazing.
For whatever is ahead for Robbo, if it is here or elsewhere, I hope all goes well for him?
I agree, he is a great clubman with a professional approach that will be missed around the club.

Dodongo wouldn't be surprised if they view Eagles as a Martin replacement for a couple of years until someone else comes up if Archie doesn't come on which is most likely.

Plus he can play multiple positions too. Handy as depth.

Agree with that, there are a few guys who can leave to for more opportunities or fight for a place on a side in the rise.

Guys like Robbo, Taylor, Cutler, Keayes and Lester have to improve if they want to be in the 22. There are half a dozen youngsters fighting for spots and a great offseason could see a few changes

Doubt we’d get a pick as high as 40 for him. Not getting a gig thanks to our good run of (lack of) injury (and the fact he has at least Answerth ahead of him, by a fair margin too) brings his value down. IMO only way we’d get something around that mark is a swap of trades as well. Would love to be wrong though. I’m neither here nor there with regards to him staying or going, preference would be staying so we’ve got depth but would completely understand if he explored other opportunities.

Clickbait, what? This one caught me out earlier this week given our matchup:

Star Tiger set for surgery, season likely over

Hint: it's Sydney Stack. Maybe he makes Richmond's top 15 players, but that means we're looking at at least 200 stars across the competition.
Plenty more stars than that in the sky, so not unreasonable.
Done deal, where do we sign?

Wonder if they want to try and make him into a Robinson clone, sort of winger/tagging role for them. Interesting though if they WANT him we may try and actually get some value.
Reckon NRobbo could do well at GWS, very honest player and definitely occupy a role.

I actually don't think we should be granted permission to keep eagles for an extra year. If we want him that badly we should use the list space like every other club has to.

I do kind of agree, but obviously the club believes it is going to be a pretty tight squeeze.
