With memberships going digital does the barcode go on your phone..?

People cracking the shits on FB about this.

Move with time times cave people.
Guess the club wants you to use your phone for something at the ground as god knows it won’t be for calls... effen shit reception.

Phone receptions ok, as long as you want to use your device during the actually playing time - once it gets to the breaks then it slows down

So gotta make sure that everything's ready before getting to the ground otherwise we may see issues - or could be the reason they finally fix the phone blackspot that is KP

I remember seeing American Pie that way - interesting movie to watch when you're a teenager, called Michelle & have red hair...

All four of the American Pie movies are absolute rippers, the first one especially is fantastic. I saw the first one on its own about two years ago, then binged through the four on four nights during first lockdown. Great decision. It definitely helps that I'm at the target audience age for the series though.

I can see how it might've been awkward for you at the time (unless you had a thing for the star lacrosse player at school, in which case it could've been a romantic real-life version of the movie).

If I’m tipping 600 into the club for reserved seats I never see.. they can send me a bit of plastic that says I’m a member .

It's am AFL decision, not the clubs who have initiated this decision. And it looks like a driving factor behind it is covid & uncertainty about how season 2021 & beyond will look

WHY ARE WE MOVING TO MOBILE MEMBERSHIP?

The AFL, its venues and clubs are moving away from plastic and physical tickets/cards. With the goal of providing a better customer experience in years to come.

In 2021 we will potentially need to adapt and pivot based on crowd access and venue capacities. For example, where/how members we will be seated and the potential for alternative home games to those released by the AFL in December. Mobile gives us full flexibility to do this. Whereas printed hard cards / tickets do not.

We look forward to this transition and are here for our members with any questions. Please contact our Membership team on 1300 462 287 or membership@geelongcats.com.au
