53 point turnaround is adelaide-esque in their second half flogging

richmond turned it up in the second half against us and we lost by a kick.

Martins goal before half time ****ed with Geelongs head I reckon.

Dangerfield needed to stand up.

fnnnnkkkkxxxxx

What justice is there in this world where the likes of Gary Ablett Snr, Nathan Buckley, Tony Lockett never won a premiership but Nathan Broad and Jason Castagna have three apiece.
It could be a champion team vs a team of champions type thing. That's also the old port Maggie's way, win as a team.

Four years and nobody has been able to properly and persistently counteract Richmond’s game plan.

It is easy to look at some of their individual players and question their ability but they sure as heck all buy into the strategy and never leave anything on the park.

And then to cap it off, Martin is probably the best big game player of the past twenty years.

One of the commentators said that he had kicked something like 17 goals 2 across all his finals before today. And then 4 goals tonight. That is a pretty extraordinary conversion rate.

Anyway, good luck to them. They have set the benchmark and it is up to everyone else to catch up...

Brendon Gale stated way back in March 2010 that he wanted Richmond to have won 3 premierships and surpass 75,000 members in by the end of 2020. At the time they hadn't won a flag for 30 years and sat at a meddling 36,000 members.

Richmond now sit here with 3 premierships in the past 4 years and boast over 100,000 members - 24,000 more than the next best in the competition. Hats off to how they've been able to turn the club around in the past decade.

Take a long, hard look Port at what happened tonight and know that we could've been the ones up there forging the beginning of our own dynasty. The best time to start was yesterday, the second best is today. Make 2021 better.

WE should've beaten them last week we didn't because we are coached by a clown.

Have no idea why Cameron would look at that Geelong team and go “Yeah they are close to a flag.”

They couldn’t get it done with Vlaustin off the ground. They are going absolutely nowhere.

I remember back when the club re-signed Choco and apparently offered Hardwick to be his new assistant but Richmond offered him the senior coaching position. Later that year Choco was sacked after 9 losses in a row.

We also lost to Hardwick's Richmond who were 0-9 at the time at AAMI that year lol.

I didn't watch too intently tonight, at any point did Bruce suggest it was the biggest night of football in Queensland?

I mean, if a dead rubber, between two non finals teams, on a thursday night mid season, is the highlight of sport in SA... surely the first saturday night grand final at the Gabba should be right up there?

I think it's a better result for the rest of the competition that Richmond won it so now they won't be as hungry next year.

Yeah but....

The great teams are always hungry and this is a great team.

I've been around long enough to see R Ebert and Robran .Carey, Ablett Snr live.
This Dusty is just so good . Has there ever been a player like him?
And the guy is only 29, so if his body stays sound, he'll be terrorising opposition defences for a few years yet. Remarkable player!!!
