Okay fair enough, any chance of one of these three forwards lasting to the mid teens?
Yeah, the one I’m not too keen on. Jackson Callow from Tasmania. I liken him to a less athletic McStay. He’s also the shortest of the three at 194cm.

Riley Thilthorpe is a 200cm forward ruck from SA, who’s top 5 and possibly a good chance to land at Adelaide.

Logan McDonald, 196cm is from Perth, plays for the same WAFL club as Dev Robertson. Possible top 10ish if he continues to play well in the WAFL.

A lot will come down to whether the Vic kids get to play or not. As the SA and WA kids are all playing now, they’re going to have exposed form for this year.

Right now, no one knows how the Vic kids are developing, and if there are any late bloomers, or kids who have made that step up in class.

Adelaide fans hoping Brad Crouch gets a big enough contract at another team, to get them a first round compensation pick.

Now the media starting to talk about North letting Ben Brown walk to another team, on a large enough contract for North to receive a first round compensation pick.

I’ve read mention that the Lions academy will be playing the Suns academy in a few weeks time. And if NSW is still open, both teams flying down to play the Sydney and GWS academies.

Ben Brown is not a free agent, so that won't be happening. And chatter in the media recently suggesting on exposed form, and lack of hurt factor, that interest in Brad Crouch at a price high enough to trigger tier 1 compensation is highly improbable. Particularly with GC (last year's suitor) having a glut of inside midfielders. Browny and Co. were pretty strong on this point on last night's episode of On The Couch.

Gold Coast wasn’t a suitor.

Crouch’s people approached Gold Coast. GC discussed it, and turned down Crouch.

If anyone is reading the ADC profiles. This is the kid I really liked coming in to the year. Has the potential to be a Zorko replacement, just 10cm taller.

There’s also a ruck at Sandringham I’m keen to see. Max Heath. Late developer, but played very well in the preseason trial matches from reports.

Not that we’re likely see any Vic Metro football this year.

I've been paying more attention to this years draft over the last few weeks, like the sound of Zane Trew, Eddie Ford, Tanner Bruhn(maybe our annual injured recruit :D) and I also agree with briztoon re Archie Perkins.

Logan McDonald would be great as our long term elite KPF but likely to go way too high for us to be a chance, apparently killing it in the WAFL seniors.

I’m actually leaning away from not going near this years draft. With absolutely limited watching of players this year it’ll be a lucky dip. Players develop and so go back and we just won’t have the opportunity. As someone who loves the draft to acquire talent I would rather us use our two first rounders on a known commodity.

Yep, I've literally watched no vision, just going by the write ups from Big Footy Draft and Trading board.

except those that went to the somewhat secret draft camp run by connors sport recently
It wasn’t secret, as much as not advertised and open to all. Recruiters were invited.

It was discussed at the time on the draft board, and the points were discussed that some of the attendees weren’t supposed to be there as bottom age kids who weren’t allowed to interact as such with agents.
