With 2021 being a better draft, Essendon would be silly not to want a 1st rounder while giving up one of their 3 this year.
Would need to come with a "dont bid on reef" disclaimer.

So if we're targeting crows/essendon. Sounds like we definitely want to reef and also get ahead of a bid for him.

If we can turn that into two picks before Reef (including a KPP) and a pick after him in the 20's (ie. trade back into the second with our later picks) with our pick 14, 16 and future first then I guess I could live with that.

Cox, a classy midfielder who uses the ball well (eg. Bruhn or Macrae), Reef and Ford would work for me. Pair that with a late pickup of someone like Kolar / Lord at the back end of the draft and we'd come out of the draft looking ok.

Callow actually sounds like a Dekka selection too though. Been playing against men for 2 years now and standing out, which he loves, but I’m not sure what sort of level the TSL comp is.

There seems to be a few late talls that sound promising. I think we’ll grab two tall prospects this year at a minimum.

With 5+ Draft Picks you would hope we at least Pick 1 Tall

JUG, Thilthorpe, DGB, Mcdonald, Henry (this was a surprise) top 5. Then Hollands, Reid, Perkins, Campbell and Bruhn as top 10

Reef @ 14. He hasn't updated his measurements though


14. REEF McINNES

192cm, 84kg, Oakleigh Chargers/Scotch College, midfielder

McInnes is a tall, agile and big-bodied midfielder who can also play as a forward. That versatility combined with his size at 192cm, means there’s a lot to like and be excited about as a player I can see developing into a strong AFL player in the future. Collingwood has first option on him as a member of their Next Generation Academy and I’m sure they’ll match the bid that comes.

In terms of player type, I'd like a mix of talls, mids and small forwards.

My ideal draft would be McInness, Cox, Macrae, (insert small forward here) and then Callow or another late tall prospect. I think we could potentially manipulate our draft hand to make that happen.
