Would be keen on Ford later but don't like it that early. Every year there a bloke who does some awesome things in a widely televised game that makes a great highlight video so gets a lot of talk, while others who are maybe comparable but don't have the footage so aren't as hyped . Think Ford is this years version. Seems like those who've seen more of him in person don't rate him as high. But who the hell knows, such a weird year where even the experts don't get to see so many of these kids. I really think they'll be a couple of kids fall around our pick that will turn out worthy of going in the top handful, just have to nail it.

With our pick swap, the way to go would be to originally do the deal with Adelaide to include a future pick instead of pick 25 and then swap the future pick back into this draft after Reef is bid on - if you want to use that pick in this draft.Move over Twomey, here's the only one that matters.

I hope we can manipulate it somehow, but you can't trade with the same team twice in order to manipulate the bid matching. They changed the rules. You could of course trade it back to a different side.
Also, if we don't get a pick from after what's hopefully our second pick to 30 odd, I think we'll be in a bit of strife with regards to deficit etc.

I was under the impression that after about 22, our points from the trash picks should be enough to match - assuming the expected academy kids are already gone and thus our trash picks have moved forward due to matching.

He does need to improve his endurance, but his tank is sure to grow after a few pre-seasons at the next level. He is one of the better stoppage midfielders and is willing to back himself to step around opponents and get the ball moving forward.
Where will he end up? Collingwood are set to match a bid on McInnes somewhere in the first round, but Derek Hine and Ned Guy might need to be creative to move some of their selections given they currently hold Pick 14 and 16. Adelaide (9) and GWS (10, 13 and 15) appear to be two clubs thinking about bidding.
