“Corey’s a pure footballer who is small in stature but very tough over the ball. He has elite skills, clean hands and an excellent ability to win contests at ground level.''
Torrens University SA U18 coach Tony Bamford

''Jamison is a tough and smart ball-winning midfielder with an elite kick who also possess quality leadership skills.''
Torrens University SA U18 coach Tony Bamford

“Riley has already played well at league level and is a unique tall in that he is just as good at ground level as he is in the air.''
Torrens University SA U18 coach Tony Bamford

Describing himself as a ”big Crows fan”, Thilthorpe enjoys watching, and trying to emulate, the running patterns of experienced Adelaide forward Tom Lynch.

And Thilthorpe has looked towards a small Crows forward – Lachlan Murphy – while aiming to improve his defensive pressure instincts in 2020.

Hey 1990crow your boy Riley Thilthorpe has a far, far bigger opinion of Lachie Murphy than you :p .....Mad Crows fan, favourite players Lachie Murphy and Tom Lynch on that interview with Zac Millbank above.
Hey if it helps get Thilthorpe to the crows in happy to put 16 games into Murphy haha.
*Also let’s hope this crows fan actually comes to us this year as opposed to the let down that was Lukosius and Rankine. What I would give to bring those two back in our colours.

AFAIK he is, small forward probably pigeon holes him due to his small stature.

There's actually a ripper SA kid available this this draft I'd really like us to draft to boost our small forward stocks, just a natural footballer Centrals Corey Durdin, already starring in the SANFL.

Looks good so we probably wont see him in the tri colours. Was just interested in Dudley because of the NGA academy at the draft increases our chances. I normally do keep an eye on what you and the guys in the know say about the kids coming through but other than the Fog have watched them leave the state with disappointment in my heart. So this year other than Edwards, Borlase and Newchurch, unless they are FS or NGA don't want to get invested until after draft night.

Dudley looks like a very good prospect and is in our NGA.
Add a top draft pick in the 2021 draft with him and we come out on top.

In my ideal world, we get Hately and have three first round picks and two third round picks (for points for Edwards, who's bid on after our firsts) in 2020. Meanwhile, we've maybe traded a player and our second round in 2021, but kept our first round pick.

So - a player and three 2nds out, and a first and Hately in. That feels possible, but I'm not willing to guess how.

I think we just give GWS they're first round pick back for hately..

I don’t. Don’t think he’s worth a first rounder personally. Think whoever we get using that currency will be a better player given the players eligible in this years draft.
Also important to maximise the amount of picks we have ahead of Edwards.
Hamish said end of last year we will try and have three picks in the first round in 2020 so I doubt a first goes back to GWS for Hately. If anything I wouldn’t be surprised if we tried to get another (Dogs first?).
Eg trade our second rounder along with dogs second up for their first.

Must do what we can to get Baldwin and Thilthorpe.

Hateley will go one of two ways:

- He establishes himself as first team or thereabouts. He won’t be available.

- He doesn’t establish himself as first team or thereabouts. He will be worth a mid second. Setterfield Kennedy Steele etc.

If Hately wasn't a South Aussie It's a surefire bet there wouldn't be the same interest.

Nowhere have I seen Hately or his management indicate he's unhappy at the GWS or GWS indicate they're up for trading him unless I missed it?

Very similar story to Phil Davis in that Hately only moved to SA in his teens due to his father's teaching employment and his mother's family are still living in Canberra, not sure the call of home beckons as much as some think.

"The big two years I lived up there, but mum's family still lives there," Hately said of Canberra.
"I was obviously born there and then moved to Adelaide quite young, but every year I'd go there to see family and see mum's parents.
"I've got aunties, uncles and cousins all still there, so most of my family does still live there and it will be pretty special to play there in front of them for my debut."
Hately's followed a similar path to his co-captain Phil Davis.
Davis was born in Canberra before moving to Adelaide as a teenager, where Hately's father Nick taught him at Trinity College.
While Hately didn't meet Davis back then he had heard of him.

Would rather chase Thilthorpe or Baldwin (or both). Trade up with the GWS pick? Next year would be a good time to go after the best available mid we can get

I'd be OK with targeting Hately if he indicates he's unhappy with his lot at the GWS but I'd be surprised if GWS were prepared to cash their chips in cheaply just yet, I guess we'll know soon enough with him being out of contract at season's end. It will be interesting to see if he gets game time with what's left of the 2020 season. What's he worth is the question?

I'm interested to see how O'Connor goes this year .. and over the next couple.

Valente at Freo is another one to keep an eye on.
