Hasn't Brodie had hamstring issues at times.....and they re-signed him late last year so he'll still be contracted....We let Greenwood walk and he's already gone past Brodie and Rowell and Anderson 1st year players also preferred at selection table.Mildly interested but Will Brodie hasn't really come on that much.
A draft pick would probably suit us better.
Yes but given he doesn't seem to be a player Gold Coast are keen to keep I'm not sure he's worth that much right now.Hasn't Brodie had hamstring issues at times.....and they re-signed him late last year so he'll still be contracted....We let Greenwood walk and he's already gone past Brodie and Rowell and Anderson 1st year players also preferred at selection table.
If the strings are OK I'd reckon he'd be easier to dislodge than Hately.
You know how we were dreaming of getting Grundie...for what it is worth, Knightmare on his thread believes that we should be taking Phillips with out first pick which is likely a top 2 or 3 pick you would think. Thilthorpe was not mentioned

Describing himself as a ”big Crows fan”, Thilthorpe enjoys watching, and trying to emulate, the running patterns of experienced Adelaide forward Tom Lynch.
And Thilthorpe has looked towards a small Crows forward – Lachlan Murphy – while aiming to improve his defensive pressure instincts in 2020.
...
A member of SA’s AFL Academy Hub, Thilthorpe boasts incredible athleticism and mobility for someone of his size while being able to play in the ruck and deep inside the 50m arc. ...
Riley has already played well at league level and is a unique tall in that he is just as good at ground level as he is in the air,
He’s your modern, AFL-style ruckman who can rack up 25 possessions.
...
He wants us!
Yes had a hamstring last year but I think has been mostly fit.Hasn't Brodie had hamstring issues at times.....and they re-signed him late last year so he'll still be contracted....We let Greenwood walk and he's already gone past Brodie and Rowell and Anderson 1st year players also preferred at selection table.

2017 Laird - yes he was adequate at defence, 2020 Laird - no. He's fast becoming a player who probably needs a trade to get back on track, but will most likely remain broken if he remains here.
Small forwards have always done well, but that's more due to we've usually been able to blanket the main target well. I also assume we'd probably at the trade table for an offer like that. We desperately need midfielders.

I would probably take pick 20.Yes had a hamstring last year but I think has been mostly fit.

Greenwood more versatile in that he can go forward which is preferable when we've got a few others that are basically just inside mids.
Think we've got (at this stage) 2 second rounders - 20 and our own. Potentially could package those to the Bulldogs for their first rounder to pay for JUH.
I guess I hope come seasons end after putting up with the poor onfield results a rebuild generally gives (and I am ok with that as long as the effort and general improvement with the kids is there), if we could engineer 3 x top 10 picks and grab Phillips, Thilthorpe and Durdin coupled with Edwards, Borlace and Newchurch, I suspect we could feel pretty happy with thatYou know how we were dreaming of getting Grundie...

Durdin won't be top 10I guess I hope come seasons end after putting up with the poor onfield results a rebuild generally gives (and I am ok with that as long as the effort and general improvement with the kids is there), if we could engineer 3 x top 10 picks and grab Phillips, Thilthorpe and Durdin coupled with Edwards, Borlace and Newchurch, I suspect we could feel pretty happy with that
Another sub 180cm midfielder in Phillips?I guess I hope come seasons end after putting up with the poor onfield results a rebuild generally gives (and I am ok with that as long as the effort and general improvement with the kids is there), if we could engineer 3 x top 10 picks and grab Phillips, Thilthorpe and Durdin coupled with Edwards, Borlace and Newchurch, I suspect we could feel pretty happy with that
Well balanced lad which is always a big plus...I have no knowledge of many of the kids in this years draft other than some of the SA Lads - I was more or less going on Knightmare's comments to the question I asked him earlier today
Sort of.If we finish bottom 3 and we lose B Crouch to FA, any chance we get the following pick for compensation?
The way I read it, would need to get a contract elsewhere of 700k + to be in the top 5% earners in the league.
Seems unlikely and in that case we get an end of 1st round compo.
Correct?

Sort of.
If he gets 700+ for 5 years I would say we get a pick just after our first.
But with COVID changing the landscape who knows how they'll dictate compo.
I thought best and fairest results, brownlow medal votes and age also came into it.Just curious, as I dont know the rules, with that ~$700k floated about, can the Crows pay a portion of that to pump up Brouch salary in order to get Pick 2.
(with the caveat of course we get pick 1).

Don't even think it!

I can't post some of the text if needed.
Tanner has as much upside as anyone but it would be too risky to take a punt on him with Pick 1. He’s battled too many injuries. And it’s been reported he’s broken down again unfortunately.I wouldn't be counting out Tanner Bruhn either Mutineer, depending on how he comes off his injury
A little on the smaller side compared to O'Driscoll but he's got the agility, pace and skills that we're looking for from a mid
The other thing to consider though is the lack of scouting this year and the compromised draft means that teams might be more aggressive in the FA/Trade period for established players.Sort of.
