If there's any benfit of the AFL running at the moment is we are converting the Americans to our game.

Watching the Bombers v Freo and yep Freo are crap and the Dons will be no hope with the style of play they are playing. Will work against crap sides like Freo but as soon as some one puts pressure on them it will crumble (See the Dee's last year.)

As predicted - a small amount of pressure from Freo and the Dons game started falling apart.

I think this is where the inclusions of Hanners and Hill will be massive.

Over the past few years, we have been a quiet group. But at training, Hanners never shuts up. I'm sure his voice will help keep everyone on track. And Hill is a ball of energy, so hopefully that becomes contagious to everyone else.

Yep that’s true. Plus very important to get away to a good start and get pumped up early. I’d imagine coming back from a half decent deficit would be ver difficult without crowd support although Freo almost pulled it off.

So that's why I can't buy any baked beans, I've got one last tin of BBQ which I'm saving for a rainy day, no dunny paper either, just relying on tissues.

I'll be watching this on repeat over the next couple of months to cope with the lack of footy.




I still can't believe we sacked Ken Sheldon, one of the best coaches we've ever had.

The same with Stan Alves, according to his book Sacked Coach the St Kilda board wanted to sack him in 1997 until he got us to a GF from nowhere.'

Then they sacked him in 1998 after losing a final, ignoring the fact he got us to finals despite a horrendous injury run.

He also coached us to one of the best wins we've had in WA, we looked shot and then he threw Spida Everitt forward to kick a bag, a masterstroke.




We got seats right next to the WC cheersquad and we copped it all day when they were in front, I gave it back to them with interest after we won.
