Others will have a better idea than me but from what I've seen at this stage there could be 3-5 kids from the academy a chance to be drafted this year.

These are the names listed as 2022 draft prospects in the program that was handed out at the draft function.

Will Ashcroft- 183cm, 80kg, Hybrid Mid.
Jaspa Fletcher- 180cm, 74kg, Hybrid Mid.
Riley McMillan- 181cm, 70kg, Hybird Mid.
Bailey Tome- 184cm, 80kg, Inside Mid.
Liam McNeill- 201cm, 90kg, Ruck.
Matthew Hollier- 185cm, 73kg, Outside Mid.

I honestly don't think we need a tall urgently. If a gap emerges over the next 3 years I'd rather some cheap cover via free agency. I'd be happy to draft a highly rated tall from about 2024.

We have an exceptional tall forward group in our best 22, then legitimately nothing. Need to start developing for the future.

As I mentioned, was very Vic centric, when a lot of the talls are in SA and WA.

I shouldn't use that sort of description. These guys could become something but ptobably long shots. Fullarton becoming a solid F/R would be huge.

If they're expecting another top 3 pick next year they should just fold. There absolutely has to be improvement. That list should be ready to nudge or come close to the top 8.
