Can someone please remind me if successful in PF when we pay a deposit for GF ticket allocation & is it different pending of priority?

Tempting fate by getting ahead of yourself buddy but I think the Club has already indicated that those with a Grand Final guarantee in their 2021 season pass (Club 1870/Black Diamond/Platinum I believe) will be guaranteed access to a GF Ticket to a full Optus stadium for the Grand Final should we qualify. I think Gold ticket holders get priority access once all 'guaranteed' ticket holders have been fulfilled.

i dont wanna tempt fate as well, but going to book flights

anyone have any ideas on what the grand final ticket priorities will be. I’ve got access to a platinum and gold membership but don’t want to book the trip if I’m not a realistic chance of getting a Gf ticket

Mate nothing in life is a guarantee but if we’re good enough I like many others would like to attend it’s been a while & I’m no keyboard warrior but thank you for your help.

Understood. I booked flights and accommodation or Perth on GF weekend a couple of weeks ago on just such a chance. Both fully refundable, just like last year (and 2014).

Not where i enter. They have a few little A4 ones on a little metal stand.
Eastern Stand entrance has one on on of the big posts.
Though knowing my memory it’s probably a little one, but high up.
They have put them on the video screens though haven’t they? Or is that just for the pick a player thing?

I enter at the Southern entrance and have never seen one there.

And even if they do have them on the giant screens inside the ground that doesn't stop people clamouring around the little ones in the line up outside en masse, and slowing the line to an absolute crawl.

It is a giant one, you can stand well away from the column and scan it.

So what’s the go can you enlighten me we’re priority 1?
Which membership did you purchase to be considered priority 1? Did you buy a membership with a GF guarantee or GF priority? The club hasn't released who is priority 1 for the 2021 GF yet.

There will be windows for different priority groups. Last year there were 3. I haven't seen any confirmation about priority windows or groups this year yet. If there are please post them in here and I will add them to the OP - Opening Post as a reference.

I have just edited the OP and put in the 2020 priority groups and procedures the club released just before the PF last year. The week bye this year has meant the AFL hasn't released a lot of GF info yet.

Have a look at the bottom of post #1 to see the 2020 ticketing priorities.

The tickets we have are essential platinum western stand priority 1

This might be true but, as I stated earlier, when selling memberships this year (and previous years) it was made explicit that Club 1870, Black Diamond and Platinum memberships had a 'guarantee of an opportunity to purchase a Grand Final ticket' and Gold season ticket holders received 'priority access to a Grand Final ticket'.

Changing those ticket conditions would only be possible if the changed Grand Final arrangements due to covid (such as restricted crowd numbers) made meeting such guarantees impossible.

And, as I said, Richo stated last week that with a full crowd capacity at Optus Stadium for the Grand Final he expected all eligible PAFC season ticket holders to be able to access a ticket:

"For those planning beyond next weekend (it is ok to do that, just stay focused on the positive energy that’s carried you to this point though for next Saturday night first!), preliminary discussions on AFL Grand Final member ticket allocations are happening and you should rest assured that there will be enough tickets available for eligible members of the competing Clubs to satisfy demand. Travel and accommodation should be your focus at this point, and of course helping get us over the line next weekend!"

This is a long way short of a guarantee on ticket availability but it sends a pretty strong signal that those season ticket holders with a GF guarantee will be priority 1 for the Grand Final.

People want to know what priority group/window they are. The club hasn't released that info, because the AFL hasn't told them what's going on.

Last year they released info before the PF on 9th October and the PF was on 16th.

John Butcher really comes across as an awesome fella.

the AFL hasn't told them what's going on.

Well that's not strictly true because Richo made it quite clear to members in his email last week (that I quoted above) that 'preliminary discussions on AFL Grand Final member ticket allocations are happening and you should rest assured that there will be enough tickets available for eligible members of the competing Clubs to satisfy demand.'

So while the exact priority categories and timing will not be released until after this weekend, Richo is telling us that we ca REST ASSURED there WILL be enough tickets available for eligible members. And that eligibility was signalled in the Grand Final ticket 'guarantees' offered with 1870/Black Diamond and Platinum memberships sold this year, again as I outlined earlier.

People want to know what priority group/window they are.

No. I think what people want to know atm is, based on their season ticket category, whether they should go ahead and make flight and accommodation bookings on a speculative basis for the Grand Final weekend before either the Grand Final teams OR the ticket allocation parameters have been formally announced.

And Richo's email addresses that specific point where he says:
Travel and accommodation should be your focus at this point.

To spell it out. Those with Grand Final ticket guarantees as part of their season tickets (1870/Black Diamond and Platinum) should be reassured by Richo's email that, barring a covid lockdown, they WILL be able to secure a GF ticket if Port makes the Grand Final and so they should be thinking about what travel and accommodation options (and prices) they now face compared to what they might face next week when the GF teams are decided.

As someone with a Black Diamond season pass I did exactly what I did last year and booked fully refundable flights and accommodation as soon as we won our first final in the hope that we actually make it to the Grand Final.
