What the hell is actually going on at Collingwood?

Buckley called out for treating the players like sh*t, mass exodus, complete salary cap stuff up, Ned Guy imploding, now McGuire stands down.
Wonder if there’s any truth to the rumour about performance enhancing drugs in the 2010 gf replay???

Never heard that before. Collingwood were the much better side that year anyway, it would've been a steal if we had won it that year.

There was a report that a whole lot of premierships players had elevated levels of HGH which lead to ASADA looking at it. It looked as if they had micro doses of something but not enough to go over legal levels. Essendon saga pulled them and Hawks in in recordings also.

impacts more than 200 people ... the AFL invested big time into the sports travel idea and have been trying to make it work .. this move gives the impression they have given up on that side of their business ... especially when ratings are not an exact indication ..
It really only effects the wa sides. Once travel is back to normal 4 weeks is plenty to get cheap airfares to nearly every state. I think the rolling fixture is great for most of the footy public and the majority should always get priority. And even more importantly the broadcasters need to get their money’s worth or it could be end of a couple of poorer clubs.

no it impacts Victoria more than it does WA actually ... with WA football fans traveling to Melbourne for a game is fairly easy as there is usually 3 or 4 games there but for Victorian fans who want to come to a game interstate that becomes significantly harder because while 4 weeks might be enough time to book a flight genrally you have all the lower booking classes sold out by that point so it will certainly be more expensive unless you get a run out sale .. also good luck securing the game day tickets only 4 weeks out ...

Never heard that before. Collingwood were ( suddenly )the much better side that year anyway, it would've been a steal if we had won it that year.

Yeah funny how they suddenly were great.

But actually i doubt if they were on the gear. Heritier would have spilled the beans.

Don't forget the cats who skirted the lines with "inject into muscle, not in vein" and in their premiership window, had a coach on the take, Chappy's procedure illegal the week after the GF, Bombers done for drugs 4 years later, bloke at the cats implicated in "the weapon" and Danks services sought and drugs in connection with.

Yeah, and I have this Saudi prince friend....

Lol, suddenly?

They finished on top of the ladder after finishing 4th the year before. They were the best team in 2010 by a long way and proved it throughout the year.

They won 15 in 2009 compared to the Cats 18 and the Saints 20.
Suddenly in 2010 they were much faster and stronger.

It wasn't sudden. They gradually improved. 8th in 2008, 4th in 2009, 1st in 2010. They went from 15 wins in 2009 to 17 in 2010. As for finals, they went from a prelim in 2009 to a premiership in 2010. Not sure how you see that as some kind of unusual improvement.

As I said only impact wa sides but Victorian people. And that’s about 200 a side at the most. And it’s only fun tickets anyway. If you want to go you will still spend the cash. Doubt it will matter next year as tickets are going to be high most of the year anyway. In the long run it’s much better for a club like ours and in the short term it’s sensational

Based on that they need to check us out in 2004 and Brisbane last year. And one side most years.
2 win improvement and a week deeper into a season constitutes a performance enhancing drug program, apparently.

Haha that was from Dean Robinson.

It's okay to make the argument that they were on a drug program based on this kind of stuff, whilst it's still speculation.

But to use win/loss records and on field results as a way to prove your point is stupid, and especially in the case of Collingwood in 2010 who only won 2 more games than the year prior.

If that is the baseline to start allegations of performance enhancements, then there would be clubs every single year that would fall into that category.

What I don’t get is even if all this crap is true which I highly doubt all it does is do your head in. We aren’t getting a flag. May as well bang your head against a wall for fun.
