Must be Callow. Unless he just didn't interview well. On face value looks exactly what we need. I think gives our forward line a nice mix with Mihocek at 192cm, Callow at 195cm (and may grow an extra cm) and Cameron as third tall/backup ruck at 200cm+.

I'm not against a small forward and think that's a huge list need. I just think it is very hard to recruit talls, and we aren't going to get any opportunities in the ND as we'll blow all our picks on Daicos. So unless we have someone like Weideman in the bag as a trade target, Callow is the most pressing list need right now. You always take talls first as small forwards are typically easier to recruit later in a draft.

To be clear the expectation isn't in *my* mind at all, but it's pretty evident that he is going to be seen by many as the saviour of our forward line woes given our lack of KPF recruitment for the past decade and especially with some nitwits in the media even speculating that he could come in straight away and play at AFL level.

There are a lot of Collingwood supporters on various social media platforms and I'd think you'd be hard pressed to not find this type of sentiment on any single one of them, as well as in the media to some degree where it's been a regular theme for a while now (ie. Collingwood lacking any sort of KPF and not being able to score).

The expectation is that he comes in and fills a list need as a 2nd developing genuine KpF role alongside McMahon and also afforded the same leeway along the way with his development that most 18yo kpf get.

Im hope we give Callow a chance, but forget Weideman, I hope we are saving salary cap money to go all out for Ben King.
I think he is what we need.

I know for a fact that Ben King will be playing footy in Victoria from 2023 onwards. He is the one we should be into right now.

I don't doubt BF's tendency for nuffiness but I would like to think some of the more level-headed posters here would at least be happy the recruitment team took a punt on a genuine list need.

If we take him and he flops its no different then half the players we blow ND draft picks on.

Except its a midseason pick with less cost attached and more risk we won't find what we are looking for.
