I see this idea proposed a lot but what most fans don't realise is that as a player, you wouldn't wanna compete in a mini-playoff for the rights to a guy who could replace one of you.

Draft picks aren't motivation for listed players.

Judging by the photo at the Brownlow, I would say Dew is around 130kgs.

Putting at least ~40kgs overweight for his age and height.

Yeh I don't think they will do this again.

Funny thing is, it might actually be the best thing for the game itself - gives the best players a chance to play at near to their best. BUT, the two week break has been utterly boring.

I disagree, with the concussion rule as it stands they'll have to do it otherwise there will be players having a melt down after getting concussed in the pre lim but feeling fine.

Or, if the SANFL, VFL and WAFL had all finished, they could have had a Champion of Australia type round robin tournament over the 2 weeks. Would be very interesting and entertaining.

Or just the SANFL, WAFL, etc grand finals.
