They can’t sell any prison bar merchandise. Not even the SANFL jumper anymore because they stupidly decided to give the SANFL team the same logo as the AFL team, and the AFL own that logo.

Sometimes I feel this boards hate for the PAFC borders on manical/irrational. I have no issues with the PAFC wearing the prison bar uniform for the showdowns, it doesnt impact us. So who cares what they do down the road?

Eddie claiming that he and Gil knew that Heritage rounds weren't going to be around for much longer, and the fact he co-authored the orignal deal, is extremely dodgey (negotiated in bad faith)!. I can't imagine Port Adelaide agreeing to that deal if they were aware of what was going happen.

Very rich claiming Eddie was the only one who knew Heritage Round wasn't hanging around. By the time it went to 70's and 80's rounds it was blindingly clear that it wasn't going to last much longer. Most teams had used their favourite jumpers or were just plain out of other options. People were generally bored of it too. It was obvious to all and sundry that it was on its last legs. If Port were too dumb to realise that it's their own fault. It's like they bought stocks in Blockbuster in 2015 and now want their money back.

Who forced Greg Boulton to sign the deal?

If he chose to sign a deal specifying it was a once per year, heritage round only agreement, he left his successors no leeway to argue for twice a year in rounds that they choose.

Don't forget their big 140 year celebration when they chose a home game against the lowly/useless at the time Richmond to celebrate. It went as well as most Port celebrations.

I'm guessing a lot of the posts on here are cheering against the wharf design because it's fun to watch the Teal neighbours get upset ... but actually - could you care less?

I don't look at Power and differently than the SANFL magpies - I respect them in the contest and loathe them at the same time. Very different to say a Geelong that I have absolutely no time for, ever, in any circumstance.

I get the contractual stuff - but this thing that Collingwood hold the exclusive rights to wear black and white ALWAYS is laughable. Collingwood don't even have a proper clash jumper. Eddie can hold up his contract and scream, but that doesn't mean it worth standing behind forever and a day imo.

I don't understand the AFL' s hypocrisy on this.

Us, Brisbane and Gold Coast all have similar jumpers/colours. No issue.

If all jumpers need to be distinct (to protect branding), why do clash jumpers exist?



There should be no issue in Port wearing this jumper in any game that is not against Collingwood. And maybe St Kilda?

Well said.

This should be a Australia against the VFL issue.

You can check my posting history, I'm not at all advocating it as hard as others, however it's more the principle of a vocal minority controlling the League.

It's things like VFL teams with pissweak alternate jumpers etc etc. It's all the other injustices in the comp.

I frankly love the new Guernsey, but no one should be able to dictate to others, I doubt most clubs would act like Eddie has.
