Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Drafting players isn't an exact science, it's more of a lottery. Every club has stories of hits and misses, regardless of the number the player was drafted.
Its more like probability.

Sure you can get a gun with any pick, but the probability is very low.

The higher the pick the more highly likely you will recruit a decent player but in means a lock, which is why high draft picks are well sought after.

Correct, I was just pointing out to the poster I replied to that there are always players taken later in drafts that turn out better than earlier picks, and that recruiters don't have a crystal ball.

Give me a good wheat beer any day.
Speaking of lemon, whack a small wedge in a stubbie of Pale on a hot summers day after some hard work, sensational.

never heard of that before, might have to try it

Yep one of the main brewers there is a good mate.

They have only done two brews of it the past year.

With the rise of craft beer, Southwark is struggling.

Also all Guiness sold in Australia is made there and it is rated one of the best outside of Ireland.

Fair enough, that was a genuine enquiry.

I have to say I don’t drink Southwark a lot, but then again there are very few places that sell it from what I have seen, as opposed to 20 years when it was readily available.

I take it that means that production of Guinness in Australia will also occur through Tooheys as well?

My mate reckons NZ.

Tooheys doesn't have the right equipment or knowledge.

[scrolling back up from the end of the thread]
[what beer is good]
[who else we could have got in the mini draft]
[never liked brouch anyway]
[saints,oh dear]
...
jugged hare is a stew. Most famous as the great classical french dish: Le Lievre Royale, where the sauce is enriched with blood. Artery clogging but delicious

potting is a form of preserving, not unlike a terrine, where it is sealed in melted butter and chilled

Beer drinkers sound as high maintenance as coffee drinkers :p

There are a lot of beer w***ers around unfortunately. Some on here would probably say I am one. Beer like West End Draught, Tooheys and XXXX I have never liked, and would often drink either Coopers or some imported beers over them, and am still happy to drink. This was before drinking before craft beer.

Each to their own (beer). For myself, I agree with the ppl who say that all kinds of beer have their place. cheap and supposedly nasty beer is exactly what you (meaning I) want after hard work on a really hot day, as long as it is very cold.

Swans v Pies I hope, rather than Hawks v North... though neither a great standard.
