I know Gunston won’t play early but heard today Breust and Titchell not 100% to play early.
Tbh I would hope we aim to get them both 100% before letting them on the park. Both are integral parts moving towards us playing finals so I'd much rather us get them right for 2022 if that's the case.

Nash is 22.

it's fair to see if he doesn't show much next year, he's probably out at the end of 2021, and every year after that, the pressure rises exponentially.

There are 44 spaces on the list. I find the idea that we can't afford to keep one space for a fast, athletic, 198cm 22 year old for one more year is too extreme...
Nutshell. If he was 181cm he would not be on a list. He's is tall and fast. Atm that's it. This is a big year for him.

Take those players out of our side, and I'm not sure we'd have North covered. I'm sorry, but if this is the case, that puts us under enormous pressure early doors.

yeah we're gonna be in some strife but im sure we will win more games tha north next season

if we dont? we get jason horne — kind of a win-win as far as i can see

Losing Gunston and potentially Breust is a major blow. They are the last two remaining Premiership forwards from the three-peat forward-line. We might get a good look into how the forward-line will be like in the future without them during the early part of next season. This could open the door for Brockman to debut.

It’s not even confirmed if Breust or Mitchell are going to miss and the threads already nosedived into “we won’t win a game”.

Come on you lot.

We barely beat them with those players in the side

true, and yet the week before that we beat richmond so who knows what can happen

adelaide i can see being better than us but i struggle to see north managing unless Phillips has a better year than Rowell or something like that

Mitchell is another one that could have had surgery a lot earlier than he did, so hopefully the procrastination doesn't mean he is missing Round 1.
I am hoping we couldn't get them in earlier to see specialists because of the COVID restrictions. Otherwise should have pulled them all out early and sent them off.

Didn't we trade Breust or is that next year?
Its every year

And it seems to be the ones who in December claim we won't be winning many games that are then the most belligerent if we do indeed end up dropping early games.

In all fairness, we should just win more games.

Kinda seems an easy fix

I was excited by what Nash showed early on playing as a high defender. He could kill the incoming ball and play with confidence. He did get exposed body on body. Given we have brought in Hartley, Hartigan and Frost, we clearly had a need for tall defenders. Plus, looking at the history of Irish imports most seem more comfortable down back.
