Also anyone watching tonight who thinks we should trade hayes must be crazy.

Lycett went to water in the opening 10 minutes against a ruck who barely remembers what the field looks like where he was always only going to have 10 minutes of football in him.

That start was a huge reason we got blown away.

And the kicker is that lycett has done that more times than I can count this year.

He’s a mediocre ruck, prone to slow starts and playing to the level of his opposition who looks like he’s very close to cooked at 29.

We need lycetts replacement on the list right now, not in 5 years time.

Grab Dawson, keep going.

It’s definitely a long shot, but he’s got the size, strength, speed and is a great kick.

Need Rozee and Butter to transition into mids.

Gray and boak are cooked imo. Boak has slowed right down as the year has gone on. Reckon both retire end of next year.

3 games before this were 31/1, 32/2, 32/0. Had his worst game for sometime with 24 touches in a game where he and Ollie had almost no support whatsoever. Just a stupid call. I've seen it so many times here. You guys flip flop between the newest best thing. Ragging on Boak as a 20/1 half forward and wanting him gone. Then he becomes a top 10 midfielder in the league 3 years in a row. Ragging on Wines and more then happy when he supposedly wanted out. Now he's the best thing since sliced bread and noone will admit to having any doubts before. Jonas was the best captain ever and Ollie didn't hold a candle to him, etc. It's the form line that counts. Players have bad games, bad patches and even bad years. It's the trend that matters. Gray has trended down for 2-3 years. He relies on good delivery now and cunning. He's not a 4-6 goal forward or a 30 possession mid anymore and that is a worry. Meanwhile Boak hasn't played 2 bad games in a row in 3 years. At his age he won't survive a poor year and so as long as he keeps on having good ones, he will stay on.

we’ve got tonnes of really good outside players who look bog average when wines boak and friends aren’t blitzing it in the middle.

Dawson likely would have been no different tonight.

He's legitimately still one of our best players. I don't think he suddenly drops off the face of the earth next year and if he's good again, he will go again in 2023. Not really difficult to understand. The post mentioned Gray also which I responded to. It's not rocket science.

Did you see our forward 50 kicks tonight? Those scrubbers/over heads/miss the target by 15m and hit a bulldogs player on the tit. A composed left foot kick is exactly what we needed. Added he can actually get two hands to the ball not like Ladhams or Houston. Dawson wont be our answer to the centre square that comes with taking Gray and Boak out of there.
